Holiday Inn Express & Suites Parkersburg East, an IHG Hotel

The staff at the hotel is very helpful and polite. Stayed here a few times and only once have I had an issue with the room. Pool is well kept and the work out facilities are quite nice. overall it's a good hotel, just need to keep up with maintenance.

Nice style hotel model room. There is not working closed captioning(words) on tv. There have doorbell for disability. I love “Dove” soap and body wash also lotion at bathroom. Office, she’s sweet and helping us as well. Breakfast’s great but need fresh fruits and water bottle. Hotel room need small water bottle. Good price for pay hotel room!

My first time here. They were able to get me a room on short notice. I'm a travel nurse and work overnights so I was in need of of room for the day time. Us nurses are extremely grateful for the hotels that help us out ! My room is pretty spacious. Two queen beds. 50 inch TV. Good selection of TV and movie channels. My room and bedding are very clean. They have DOVE soap products-shampoo,conditioner, body wash and lotion. The pillow cases tell you if the pillow is soft or firm so you can use which ever you prefer. They offer a good variety of hot foods for breakfast such as cheese omelets, Canadian bacon, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, cinnamon rolls, along with cereal, oatmeal, fruit, bagels and more. This is also a huge plus. They have a pool and hot tub and a workout gym. A nice added plus was a ATM in the lobby and a store where you could buy drinks and snacks. Location was excellent. Right across the street from the exit. So far no complaints at all.

The room was very comfortable. The bathroom had all of the soaps and shampoos provided. The hot tub was good. The location was 4 miles from town but we went for food with no problem.

Nice hotel with clean and modern rooms. Breakfast was good. Staff missed Amentity points though. Always chose Holiday first for a pleasant secure stay.

We enjoyed our two night stay. Breakfast was a nice perk to our stay for our family of six. Kids enjoyed the pool. Would stay again in the future.

Nicer newer building from what I was told by a local who I know so decided to stay there.
Pros: Room was clean and the bed comfortable. There were two TVs as I had a Long Suite. Nice size mini fridge (could have gotten colder but still good) and a microwave. Couch and chair were comfortable. Staff was nice when you spoke to them.

Con: water stains on the curtains. The mantel on the window wasn't glued down at all. Sat a drink on the edge and it spilled over. Water pressure was just ok. I took my shower mid morning so lots of people had left. The staff wasn't around unless you called for them at the desk. The food was ok. I ended up throwing out the eggs and the sausage links as they were really dry. The two TVs in the room were nice but they work off the same remote so you could turn the TV off and the other comes on. Fthe noise from the road was the biggest thing. All night you heard trucks starting and cars squeezing tires. I had to get a noise machine for second night. Ice machine on third floor and second floor worked as far as machine noise...but no ice.

Overall if they took care of the place and the staff was more viable they could be much better. I probably wouldn't ever stay there again...choose the other wone down the road that's cheaper.
