We had to wait to be seated because they were understaffed. Their hours are only 4-8pm...so not a lot of wiggle room there.
We ordered Half/Half Tea with lemon and lime and he got a Budweiser. He decided to get the Steamed Shrimp in Old Bay Seasoning, Green Beans and sweet potato fries. I went light a cup of their Stuffed Pepper Soup and side salad. They brought us a bucket of hot rolls with side of butter and Homemade Apple Butter....very good by the way!!! The apple butter that is!!!!
I loved my soup and waitress very attentive and kept me in tea refills. Not crazy about the salad...but it was exactly what I ordered Side Salad...with 1000 Island Dressing. Tony loved his steamed shrimp but the green beans and sweet potato fries were not so good!!!
I wouldn't have to go back but Hey Good News, your experience might be better than mine!! Thanks for letting me voice my opinion.
My steak, french fries, and my salad the food was just excellent. I can't wait to go back for more
The downfall for me was the time we had to wait to get our food, from the time our family sat down until food was out on the table was right at an hour. We didn’t go at a busy time or day. It was our first visit here after moving to the area. We will try it again in hopes for quicker turn around time. I ordered a steak and fries salad. The fries and steak were cold. You could tell it had sat prepared for a while before it was served at the table. My husband said his burger also wasn’t very flavorful.
We will try again in a few weeks and see if we have a better experience.
Overall I say the food here is way below average, however, service is amazing. Very courteous staff.
I would gladly give this place all FIVE stars, but the food here is below average.
Service was awesome. The girl we had was attentive and polite, even with some difficult members in our party. The place was packed, but we never felt like we had been forgotten or rushed. This has been the case both times we had the privilege of visiting this restaurant.
We started out with fried pickles- absolutely to die for. The rolls, cornbread and apple butter that they bring out are just amazing. The mason dixon burger was absolutely phenomenal. The loaded chicken with cheese and bacon was better than any I had ever had before. The French fries were absolutely insane- so freaking good.
My girlfriend also had 2 frozen daiquiris. Even though the place was slammed and they’re a pain to make, the owner happily made us 2 of those drinks and they came out amazing. With appetizers, food for 4 people, and alcoholic beverages/sodas, the entire tab came out to a ridiculously cheap 80$. If we had gotten a comparable meal at our other favorite restaurant (Outback Steakhouse), it would have been easily double the amount of money. The portions are massive- I couldn’t even fit the hamburger I got in my mouth. I am extremely impressed with this restaurant, and it is easily one of my top 5 favorites of all time. Keep it up guys, y’all are awesome.
