I love this place, it is a great historical place to bring the family to learn about west Virginia in my opinion

Really great place for some history. Make sure to visit the bauer building to see some really great local history from his collection. Taxidermy and gun lovers will really appreciate this place and how incredible of a guy Christmas bauer was. Make sure to bring some cash for donations because that's what keeps places like this alive.

Pretty neat. We were the only sight seers there, so it was nice. The grounds were well maintained. The staff were friendly and the setting was tranquil. The bathrooms were clean too. The don't advertise camping, but a staff member did tell us that they had hook ups for campers and allowed tent camping. A walking trail called the "mothman trail" exists as well.

Great place to visit and remember the past. Heritage Farm near Huntington is a little better organized and upkeep is cleaner, but for free admittance with suggestion of donation, the WV State Farm Museum is well worth the trip.

Amazing exhibits! Very knowledgeable staff. I really enjoy the atmosphere. There is a lot of work going on to make the site even better for visitors. A great place for school and homeschool field trips.

Out dated, not well maintained, dust/dark, some buildings not open, scarce furnishings protected by wire mesh.

My first time walking thru the buildings and looking at all of the doctor's implements of era's gone by and all of the other objects in the other buildings and I brought my granddaughter with me and showed and explained what the objects were and what they were used for and my mother-in-law who was born in Virginia in the 30's moved to Point Pleasant 50 yrs ago, had even more interesting information she shared with us. Greatly enjoyed our visit. Looking forward to Christmas lights this year at the Farm Museum.

Loads of wonderful antiques and artifacts presented without explanation or staging, just the way we like it.
