DMV Fairmont Examination Center

This place is absolutely horrible. I have been to this DMV several times since it first moved in. The first 2 times were fine, I was in and out very quickly. The last 4 times I have been in there it has been a complete disaster. The staff is so slow I almost put an application in just to show them that it isn't rocket science. On top of it all, the staff is rarely even out front. I have absolutely no clue what can be so important in the back room that you need to go back there for 20 minutes at a time. Either way this place sucks. The service sucks. The staff sucks. Everything about this place sucks. Although the chairs you wait in are comfy but that's still no reason that the staff can suck just cause you have a nice seat to sit in.

Came in to apply for my learners permit as a new resident of the US, the staff were friendly and helpful. They quickly sorted through my paperwork and told me as I have a UK license I could do my knowledge and practical skills test on the same day. Took my test, examiner was patient and clear, passed without any issues. For a government agency they were great.

We had an 11:30 appointment for a new registration and are still waiting at 1:30 because our address was printed incorrectly. Instead of fixing their mistake right away we were sent to wait in line all over again.

I wouldn't even give this one star but I have to I came to the new dmv at the middle town common Friday I got my number and I waited for 4 hours to be seen to get absolutely nothing done so I came back Monday and just to get a little sticker on my license plate I had to wait 3 hours I'm not waiting that long I have 4 kids and it's absolutely ridiculous you have to wait that long to get into the dmw

Surprisingly a very smooth, professional experience unlike the infamous stories you hear about the DMV! Each employee was very friendly, courteous, and professional. A very convenient new location next to Mon Health across from Tractor Supply in the newly designed Middletown Commons.

Face it. No one likes going to DMV. But I did what they suggest: Made an appointment and had all my documents in order and ready to go (I needed and had a lot for out of state transfers). Still, while others in the waiting area grumbled, I was shuttled in and out of two transactions in 90 minutes. Gina and another blond haired woman couldn't be nicer. The office was a little hard to find (tucked in behind Bob Evans next to the hospital at Middletown Commons), but I'm so glad I scheduled there instead of Motown where I live. Totally made my Friday and now I'm a Mountaineer with a WV plate!

[P.S!!! Did you know out of state registration transfers are exempt from the 6% vehicle tax?? Saved me an extra $180!!]

Never thought id say this but, I had to renew my DL and was in and out in 20 mins, quick friendly service. So nice to have a full service DMV in Whitehall !!!

No restrooms....fail to tell you it will be a long wait....hard to find
