I had an appointment with Dr. Farris scheduled and her receptionist called the day of (after I had drove 3.5 hours for the appointment) and scheduled me for a couple of months later. I came in again for that appointment and again, she cancelled the day of my appointment. I ended up finding a new psychiatrist, and have only heard about her cancellations of other patients since.
My sister had a telehealth appointment with Dr. Pendleton scheduled for 12pm. She talked to the nurse until 12:10 and then patiently waited for an hour just to be apologized to by the receptionist when she told them she had to go back to work.
Don’t overbook your clients if you can’t even handle the patients you have in the first place. Do better Robert C. Byrd.
Thank you Kayla and staff. Very nice clinic you have and nice staff.
See you in a month. David Shanklin.
Tests ultimately came back positive for both flu & covid. Attendant (don't know if nurse) who had not worn mask previously, showed up masked to give us Paxlovid & prescription for Tamiflu. I said husband has diagnosed asthma, had checked 'difficulty breathing' on questionnaire, and was wheezing heavily-(my impetus for appt.)-wanted someone to listen to his chest. Nurse (someone new-?) came in, indicated there was congestion, said she'd talk to doc, be back. When i asked for doctor, was told "He doesn't want to see him, 'He's Too Sick!'" Really? This is a doctor?
Nurse told me (i'd gone out to warm car-dead battery, had to push down slope to leave!...the ultimate...) when i needed to get back into clinic to leave (there had been no help, response), that 'dr. would 'call him' on phone to discuss'. He did, had obviously not reviewed required question/answer sheet, or medical history...I added to conversation in car, reiterating asthmatic. Fool said 'if he had shortness of breath, or started wheezing, 'might' want to go to ER at hospital' The difficulty breathing had been marked on questionnaire, the wheezing told to unmasked attendant...and readily heard Without a stethoscope, as woman who listened had noted. Shameful, unprofessional "service", care.
