You have to walk ten miles to even reach the Tri-Rail, then the s.o.b machine took my one dollar coin. The security guard did tell me how to go about getting reimbursement for the lost coin. I'm not crazy about this station particularly because it looks creepy like something in a horror film. Also, a sign would be great to let new riders know which track goes in which direction.

Such an important Greyhound, city bus and train station hub. You would think the city could spend a few bucks to spruce it up a little.

This place connects you to so many important bus routes. Is often filthy though.

Takes about a good 3 minutes to get over to the platform. Can't fight how it was constructed I guess. But the real complaint is the security on the platform in the mornings. Female officer for no actual reason tries to enforce her authority to people that are already abiding by it. She doesn't hesitate to put her hands on her weapon when she talks to you. Very rude. Rarely a helpful person there.

I would like to share my experience from June 11th, 2019 in hopes that no one else go through the same thing I did and perhaps avoid a tragedy!

I spent 45 minutes on June 11th trying to find the entrance to the Golden Gate Tri-rail station, but to no avail the entrance Google maps provided was blocked with allot of massive construction that just didn't provide good alternate routes after finding out the normal route was under construction.

I finally found the front entrance after Google maps took me down a highway #9, then back on the interstate, which was stressful in itself, because it leads you to the back side of the tri-rail station and it tells you that you've reached your destination and it's in front of a blocked entrance that keep putting you back on the interstate.

I finally made it to the front entrance where there was even more construction that have no direction to inform a person where to turn in the parking lot area. The area is surrounded by nothing but construction walls with confusing signs that don't point a person in the right direction to avoid danger.

I followed my Google maps, which I found out later, it wasn't updated, because it led me out of the tri-rail station parking lot and I was led to go up a bridge; while still connected to the tri-rail station construction area.

The bridge I was led to enter was the wrong way, my Google maps instructed me to enter the bridge where construction signs were posted as well as the arrow on the road pointed strait ahead; which was entering the bridge the wrong way. Nothing indicated Do Not Enter.

After getting about midway up the bridge, I looked to my left and I noticed the speed sign facing on-coming traffic that was leaving off the bridge, while I'm entering on the bridge.

The sign read to on-coming traffic 15 miles for the speed limit, I instantly realized I was led by the construction signs, the arrow in the road that pointed strait ahead or left turn and the Google maps directed me to go strait ahead.

I had to instantly slam on breaks before oncoming traffic headed towards me and i put the vehicle in reverse and backed the hell down the ramp backwards to prevent a head on collision that could've been deadly, thankful enough, I was alert and aware of the sign facing oncoming traffic.

If Tri-rail don't fix this ASAP, someone may lose their life, because of human freaking error and not giving a crap about where construction signs are placed, what signs need to be placed and flashers to inform the general public.

I feel for the person traveling this area at nite that's relying on the construction signs and Google maps!

A simple "Do Not Enter", despite your construction signs, Google maps or road signs paved on the road! It just might save a life! If I could give a zero, I would :(

Drivers Beware!!!

I'm just looking at the aerial photo (I've never been here in person), so maybe someone can correct me here. But I see a lot of apartments nearby to the south with no easy way for residents to get to/from this station on foot. I also see a large industrial area to the north and west, with no way for workers to get to to/from this station on foot. This seems like terrible planning if you ask me.

The train just been here for 4 and 5 seconds, i been waiting for 30 minutes and thats it, the train let me and the security guys dont do nothing, then tell
“The people waiting for the train, train not waiting for people”
Is disappointing, thats is service for people that use every single day the train! 😖😖😖

The building is new. But they don’t clean the place up at all!! wipe those seats, table and windows because you will have a lot germs those trains they never been clean them! No, I dint take any pictures you will believe me once you start wiping down and looking at those wipes! And may God be with you because, their is no security on the trains in or out of them what so ever so beware on it. And remember what and who will be on that train? God knows!!.. I took the train at the Golden Glades going South bound with my two kids. Because I dint want to pay the Bright Line the $80 per person for The Polar Express ride. But I will be paying them $80 per person next year, we where lucky this time. And by the way I’m a women at the mercy of luck. I will never do this again.
