My son has been going to Alpha Beta Since March/April. Before enrolling my son into the daycare, I expressed my concerns for autism. I was reassured that if they couldn't provide the assistance that he needed that they would never just turn their backs on my 2 yr. old. Well, I'm here to inform you, that was a lie. They absolutely turned their backs on my son and tossed him away like trash. In order to get my son, the proper services I need an official diagnosis from a neurologist. Sounds easy? Well, it's not! After speaking w/ Christina in May 2022 I called around and was able to get on a waiting list for June 2023!!! Fastforward to now I was able to switch my son's health plan and finally got an appointment for January 2023.
Yesterday the director Sabrina told me that they're only able to keep my son from 7am-11:30a. I'm a single mother w/ absolutely no support system. I'm also the director of my department. There's no way in hell that time frame would work for me or anyone. Even if it were a part time job, please let me know how would those hours work? Here's the slap in the face, even though I would have to pick him at 11:30 the tuition would stay the same! Sabrina formed her wide lips to say, "We don't offer part time tuition" Well witch why the heck you offering me part time hours then?! Again, make it make sense for me. I don't see where I have any options here. If you no longer want my son to attend the daycare, just be vocal and say that. Instead of waiting till I get the diagnosis so I can get him to an ABA facility they decide to do this now. Please keep in mind that we're 3 days away from January.
I must say that Sabrina is a very wicked witch. She's very condescending and lacks empathy. I was very disgusted by her behavior and tone. I was suggested to get my son a weighted vest along w/ a block chain (to avoid him putting things in his mouth). She had the audacity to form her wide wicked lips to say, "Well we asked to get these supplies". First of all, I had followed up w/ his therapist, who was the one suggested it. Secondly, she doesn't know what my financial situation is, so how dare she.
All in all, I'm very disappointed in Christina and her facility. She herself has a special needs son. So, she should have some sort of understanding.
I like that some teachers do not speak English. I hope my children are grabbing that Spanish. I would recommend the school to everyone one.
