Micanopy Academy

I'm happy to be not only an educator at this school, but a parent as well. My son's experience at this school has been nothing short of empowering and I could not be more pleased with the level of care and dedication that each and every person on staff has shown throughout his middle school experience. He's about to start high school at Micanopy Academy and is looking forward to being in one of the first classes to graduate as this school grows to 6 - 12 by 2020!

My son attends Micanopy Academy. This will be his second year going. I love the small close knit feel that this school offers. Staff is friendly. Your child is not just another student lost in a big school. Everyone knows each other and gets along. The teachers are fantastic anytime I've had a question or a concern they took the time to address it. Being in a smaller class my son gets the attention he needs and isn't crammed in a classroom with 30 other students. I highly recommend this school to any parent that is feed up with large schools and not feeling like your child is getting the time and education that this school provides.

My son went here for 3 years and I am very happy with my experience. Micanopy Academy is working hard to continually better themselves and offer a wider range of after school activities and educational opportunities. This school might not be for everyone but it has been a blessing for my child. He has completed Middle School, one of the most trying and confusing times of his life, as a whole confident child. I must give credit where credit is due. The teachers and staff encourage students to be themselves and respect and love everyone's differences. My child has gained a love of learning and determination to do it on his own. Thanks to everyone who guided him. Get involved, help out, and support.

My son who has always loved school, now he hates going to school after one year at MMS. Never ever has he been in trouble until he came here to Micanopy Middle. Principal Tara Lowe has no idea what goes on in school. Not sure if he'll be coming back next year

This is a great school! It is offering many new programs for students such as FLVS classes, an Accelerated learning program, STEM, Spanish, basketball, theater and much more!

Micanopy Middle is a great school! I love the teachers, and am happy to have been able attend such a wonderful place.

This school has been the most wonderful experience for my kids. We have been there for 3-4 years. My kids struggled in public school became a number. At this school they get one on one help with teachers and I welcome to talk to teacher at anytime needed. They communicate with me.
I do recommend parents that have unpleasant experiences to check and make sure you have not just dropped kids off in circle be part of your kids education If you go inside get to know these teachers and staff you will quickly become a family.

This is a FIVE STAR SCHOOL with a strong staff of dedicated professionals and a learning and friendly atmosphere for all students. I highly recommend this school based on my own daughter's attendance.
