I think this beach is overrated. Need to trek through waist deep water to get to the beaches. Shells also were less than what we had at our hotel beach

Great place to visit, excellent views from the lookout tower. We went on a cool day with clear skies. Awesome adventure. Beach was empty but it was towards the end of the day. Check it out.

Nice wide beach, but it's over a half mile walk to the Gulf of Mexico...plus there are no restrooms or concession area there...that's back by the parking lot.

beautiful beach, just be aware of the walking distance between the parking area and the actual beach...far away from the bathroom, so be prepared and bring umbrella, food and drinks...we arrived late in the evening , but my advice get there early....

Decent beach with a LOT of sandy area for chairs and umbrellas.

You'll have a 4/10's of a mile walk to get to the beach, and farther to the water.

There are smooth sandy areas available but also a prevalence of rough, broken-shell shoreline to navigate. Bring water shoes or thick callouses.

Good beach to shell hunt, very long walk to beach.

Parking is competitive, the beach is extremely popular due to the excellent shelling available. Go early or late to guarantee a parking spot, low tide is extremely popular, sea shells are abundant. Definitely in my top 5 of all beaches I have ever visited.

One of my favorite beaches ever. Be prepared, you do have to cross the water to get to the beautiful beach, which can be unnerving to some as the water can easily become over waist deep at parts during high tide. Playground, showers, bathrooms available.
