Mr Johnson is just the most knowledgeable bamboo person you could possibly meet ...he's more interested in you getting what you want and what you need than he is "selling you anything".... he knows all the complicated names of all this bamboo and is quite an entertaining gentleman. Highly recommend.

Great owner. I have bought bamboo other places and nothing compares. If you follow his instructions when planting you will have beautiful bamboo in 18 months. The picture is mine at 18 months. The fence behind it is 5 foot.

Great selection, great prices, great people! Very knowledgeable. Highly recommended to check out, especially if you're on the fence about whether or not to get any bamboo.

Call ahead to plan a visit. You'll be amazed at what you can get from bamboo plants. Such as tree-like shade in a few years from some types, which is what I was after. Their older stands of Graceful and Emerald bamboo are a real sight to see.

Most of what you see in my uploaded image are year-old Seabreeze clumping bamboo, planted in front of my 6' privacy fence. You can see this year's new canes (~15' tall) growing up almost twice as tall as the canes that grew last year after I planted them.

Next year the new canes will be even taller... perhaps taller the following year... then that will be about the max height of future cane growth for those plants.

2021: Edited to add a pic of the same area in my yard with this year's new canes. They're growing up taller than the canes from last year. (Excuse the weird glare from a cracked camera lens.)
