Had appointment for passport renewal. These guys are friendly, efficient and know what they are doing. They have superior communication. I have used them for passport renewal before and thay have always been excellent. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Went here to get a passport after a failed attempt at the post office. Made an appointment online and maybe 5 minutes after confirming they called me to make sure I knew what I needed to bring with me which I very much appreciated. I walked over here so I was a couple minutes late but nobody gave me attitude about it (looking at you post office 👀) Everybody I talked to whether it was on the phone or in person was very friendly and helpful. It was quick and easy, I was out in less than 30 minutes.

Coming from a Library system where people were very nice, I was disheartened to have an encounter on the phone with a very rude person from the Fernandina Beach branch. I didn't receive a notice via email so I called and was told that I should have remembered when the book was due and it wasn't their problem that their system didn't send an email. At first, she told me that I did get an email and I told her that I didn't and when she checked and saw that it hadn't been sent, she said you should have known. I am sorry. Like most people, I count on the reminders. Shame on her for a bad attitude!

The librarians are knowledgeable and always helpful. I'm a published author and I will definitely donate a copy of my book of poetry. I wonder if I could even schedule a book signing here before Christmas. I also do freelance writing. I'm just now coming off a long sabbatical, so I take advantage of computer access. Their lab is never crowded. Their facility is clean and quiet and a great environment to focus while I bid on ghost writing contracts via Upwork. Compared to Duval and St. Johns County libraries, Nassau County's library in downtown Fernandina Beach is tops for sure. Nerding is cool these days...

Thanks so much to Ms. Michelle in the children’s section for being patient, kind, and helping to get my kids excited about reading! We love the colorful and welcoming atmosphere which is kid friendly from babies on up (my youngest is one). We had a blast picking out books to read and making new friends, and can’t wait to try out some events!

Very poor experience with rude customer service.

I worked for an hour in the library then asked about renting a conference room so I could take a phone call. They said they are 50 cents per hour but you have to reserve in advance. (it didn't appear that they were full) Asked if I could rent for tomorrow and they went on and on about all the forms I have to fill out and speak to the head of administration. Basically they didn't want me to rent a conference room to me. Unhappy visitor!

Dropped by looking for "Dune" book and maybe 1984 movie. Not on the shelf, but my wife was provided enthusiastic help in reserving. Always a great staff...better than just good service, friendly.

Went in to print an important document which costs $0.15 a page. When it printed it looked terrible. It was all faded and you could barely make out what it said. So I took it to one of the two workers and she said there's nothing she could do because she didn't know how to change out the ink cartridge on the printer. First of all that is part of your job, second of all you should've seen if someone else who worked there knew how, and third of all that $0.15 goes to purchases made by the library for things like paper and ink, so what in the world are we paying for if there's no ink in the printer? Honestly I think she was just being lazy and didn't want to get up out of her chair that I'm sure she was sitting in ALL day long.
