We needed EMS for my husband while on vacation. The entire situation was nice. They arrived quickly and for the most part very professional. One EMS was kind of rude but with his job I am sure he is numb to a lot. The other EMS staff was awesome. He was ready to help anyway he could. The only complaint I have the fact that fentanyl was offered within seconds to control the pain. Even after I informed the staff that the patient was a recovering addict they still offered fentanyl and still administered the drug in the medical vehicle. People are dying on the streets from this and this drug was offered so quickly and provided within minutes. When a recovering addict is the patient more caution should be taken when trying to help with pain. I did not want to leave a bad review because the staff was just doing their job and they work hard. The gentleman who helped my husband stayed with him all the way until the nurse took over. It was the best service my husband said he had from EMS. We need to have the drug situation controlled.
