I don’t know where to begin with this horrific experience. Unprofessional and rude from start to finish. They are pleasant enough until you pay to have your loved one cremated. After that, if you need help, you just aren’t going to get it. It’s a three ring circus over there. They could care less about your loved one and in fact, I’m thinking of doing a DNA test on my fathers ashes because I’m not convinced it’s him. They don’t return calls or emails and it took almost 2 months for them to ship my fathers remains to California. it took three people calling and asking for a tracking number only to find out they didn’t actually ship the two weeks prior (when they said they did) but did the very day we called because they just didn’t feel like it. Sickening, and heartbreaking. You have options, please use them.

The rabbi was excellent and we really appreciated the way he conducted the ceremony. The gentleman in charge of the funeral unfortunately was not as good. He neglected to bring in the flowers that were timely delivered and he did not have them brought in to the chapel until half the service was over. At the gravesite the flowers were literally thrown on top of the grave and left there. I don’t know if people thought we would have been gone by then, but we were not. I was aghast at what they did. Your people removed the sign in registry too early. People complained that the book was gone and the number of people could not sign the registry . The floral arrangement was delivered and I never found out who sent it because the flowers were brought in so late and no one saw a card. Needless to say I was not happy with any of this and certainly hope this will not happen to another family and add to the most horrible day of their lives as it did for me

Its difficult to express how bad this business is. Nothing but delays and problems when my father died last year. Things are no different this year after I lost my Mom. I was told that my dead Father and Brother were not buried in their cemetery (they are). They couldn't find my family? Wow. I've spoken with 5 different people about having a small memorial for my mom and its weeks later with NO result. NO return phone calls! Geez, I thought I these people were supposed to help make things easier? Yeah right! They don't want to help me because my moms plot is already paid for, and they aren't making any money. I am not a priority. These people should be ashamed of themselves. Its obvious where their loyalties lie. The almighty dollar. This place is Dead on arrival.

We lost our beloved father and during this time it was very difficult for entire family. That being said, Star of David staff was exceptional. We were very pleased with everyone and the funeral ceremony.

If you are thinking about buying a plot here, think again. If you have a plot here, you may want to think about selling because the level of communication and service is horrendous. It appears that the only way to get these people to respond to me is by writing a bad review. Once again I have sent 3 emails asking what the status of my fathers engraving is and no response. That is just insensitive and rude. My family's experience with this cemetery has been a disaster. Initially, they erected a mausoleum on my parents plot, then tried to get them to be buried one on top of the other. My parents fought with them and eventually were given two side by side plots which they originally bought. Next, when my father passed away., I tried time after time to get someone to return my call but it wasn't until i wrote my last review that someone did. Now once again, no communication about when my fathers head stone will be ready. They also told me that it will take 4 months for the engraving because the stencil came from China!!!!!! I called several headstone engravers in the Ft. Lauderdale area and they all said 5 to 7 weeks for engraving. This organization has be purposely deceptive. Since I have to travel from Los Angeles, this information is vital so that I can make advanced travel plans. Lets see how quickly they answer now!

Everyone there was so cordial and respectful and warm. They made us feel very comfortable in this difficult time. They provided us with a rabbi who zoomed since we had relatives and friends from out of town who could not be at the service. It seriously was done with very good taste. our funeral director Deborah was excellent. Thank you for all that you did for our mom, Lillian Rosenzweig.

Over the past 2 and a half years I lost three members of my immediate family. The first was my dear brother who passed at only 46 years old due to Covid in 2020.His death was unexpected and sent oth my parents into a quick decline. My brothers death was followed by my father a year and half later and then my Mother 6 months after him. Its been unbelievably sad and I had to do all of it on my own because my parents weren't able. I have only wonderful things to say about Josh. He has been so kind and supportive and made me feel taken care of during this emotional time. Thank you to Josh specifically who has made me feel heard and cared for during the most challenging years of my life.

Our family funeral was not handled seamlessly. There were too many handoffs with little internal communication among staff members and several errors that required multiple corrections. Most disturbing was a sense that we were being rushed at the burial site. This was not a time when we needed to watch every detail, but this was unfortunately the case.
