1 Bluegreen’s Bayside Resort & Spa

We just returned from 3 nights here. Total cost was around $900 just for the room (no food/drink). I can say our room (3116) is a perfect location directly in front of the pier and beside the pool. You can hear the pool activity (lots of small kids) during the day and they showed a movie at night, but by 11, it was quiet outside. The pools are really small, hot and crowded. Since daily I passed right by the huge, quiet spa pool I went in and inquired about using it. I was pretty rudely told only if I booked a spa service could I use it. I wasn't offered a services menu and the was no mention of a day pass. The next day as I went by, there was a family with several kids and rafts in there, so I suppose they had a family spa service.(?)
The private area on the bay is a decent little walk, and could be hard for some. Chairs are provided, but several are broken (same at the pool). We drove down Thomas Dr to a public beach access. Parking is an issue at these, so plan on walking a bit. There are lots of really good restaurants very close to this resort.
Overall, not a bad experience, but I would stay elsewhere next time. I would recommend looking at a site map and requesting your room location as to whats important to you. Ours was accidentally awesome, but others in our party were really inconvenient.

A great beach hotel with everything you need to relax and adventure! The private beach is wonderful and relaxing with an abundance of hermit crabs to watch! Walk along the white sand beach or laze away in the shallow water! The pools offer a less sandy alternative to the beach. LOTS of adventures to be had, boating trips, fishing, and waterskiing is available. The hotel restaurant has great food and dedicated servers, but they are understaffed (understandably) and they could use some additional help. The beach bar was a great place to grab a margarita for the beach! The room was great and the front desk staff was really friendly! We really enjoyed this hotel!

We had to wait an hour beyond our original scheduled departure. However, owner and staff were very apologetic. They offered to make it up to us by giving us an extra half hour. The trip was well worth what we paid I recommend them to everyone. We were able to adventure from the most northern to the most southern tip of shell island and actually park on the river side and walk over across to the beach side on the golf coast. We saw portions of the beach that were untouched by human footprints. It was awesome!

We stayed here several years ago and the customer service left a little to be desired, but there has been an obvious change in management and we have no complaints. We enjoyed riding bikes in the area and swimming in the pool. The hotel restaurants also had very friendly serving and good food. We would recommend the Sheraton Panama City Beach.

They ran out of coffee for the room. Towels for the pool weren't always available. Pillows were not very good. I was very afraid to shower because the tub was very slick. There was quite a bit of cosmetic work that needs to be done. The staff was exemplary. Always friendly and helpful. I am handicapped and they were always ready to give me a cart ride to my destinations.

Nice convention facilities and conference service team, nicely maintained outdoor facilities. Now for the bad, From the time I approached the front desk check-in agent to actually checking in was 15 min, nobody was in front of me, this is too long for a simple process when I have a reservation with credit card on file. This is not a good first impression but it didn't ruin my stay just needs improvement. Overall hotel restaurant service staff was underwhelming. Definitely do not eat at the flip flops bar/restaurant, the food is really bad, and the drink service is poor, and I'm not a picky eater. Eat out!
The big turn off is that I had bugs in my room. I woke early and to my surprise upon turning on the bathroom light noticed several insects that resembled roaches on the bath floor and vanity top. The room and linens were clean and the beds and pillows comfortable. Otherwise beautiful sunsets and the grounds are well maintained. I hope this helps all parties, the establishment and potential guests.

Checked in late at night, our reception was not welcoming and then he seemed annoyed when he couldn't find our reservation. Was handed a room service menu only to be told the next day they no longer offer room service, our room key was scheduled to be turned off 6 hours after we checked in once again the front staff was less than friendly and seemed annoyed to be bothered with any questions. As soon as we walked into our room I stepped on the exposed carpet nail strip and cut my foot, the carpet had a section removed along the edge. The private beach was very nice for our friends wedding and the reception area was very nice, we had a wonderful time at the wedding. The bartenders around the resort were very nice, definitely the most friendly of the staff.

Room looked like it was not clean when we arrived. Stains all over carpet & bathroom. Called and asked for cleaning service each day (multiple times) we were there and no one came until last day. But only to bring clean towels. They did not clean the room. We were there 4 days. Terrible room service! I would not recommend or ever plan to return!
