A classic Magic Kingdom ride. If you are a fan of the Pirates movie franchise then you will love it. It is a nice boat ride to get out of the heat, sun or rain. Having my kids watch the Pirates movies for the first time a few weeks ago, to then ride it for the first time too was awesome.

One of the classics but with an updated touch. I was really blown away by the scene with the two ships firing at each other! The very small "drop" at the beginning of the ride is the only part that may make young kids nervous. Although it is dark and there are cannons firing, it's not a scary ride at all.

If you don't know about it, go to "A Pirate's Adventure" to the west of the ride to do a really fun "secret" 30-minute treasure hunt around the area. If you use the lightning lane for the Pirates ride, this is the perfect way to spend time while you wait!

Such nostalgia! If you loved this ride as a child you’re gonna love it now! I appreciate that the line is covered and there are interesting things to look at as you wait to get on your boat. There really is a special smell on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride that will take you right back to childhood.

The Pirates boat ride is one of our favorite rides when we visit the Magic Kingdom. It's a classic indoor dark boat ride, with a brilliant sing-along aspect.
The ride takes you through a naval battle, and then to the town of Tortuga, where pirates have taken over and are looking for a Captain Jack Sparrow.

The animatronics on this ride are brilliant, and they've re-created Captain Jack so well! Yes, it's a dark ride, but it's not scary in the slightest, best suitable for kids and grown kids alike! The is a slight drop at the beginning, but it sets up the ship battle at the beginning perfectly, not too bad at all.

This ride opened in 1973, and has had many changes and revamps since then. The ride was here before the movies were made, so even if you've never seen the movies, you'll have a great time on the seven seas.

Another Disney classic and one that Imagineers didn't include when the Magic Kingdom first opened because they thought Florida was too close to the Caribbean and it wouldn't be exotic enough. So luckily it was added as an after thought and while not quite as good as the Disneyland version, it's still worth a ride (and is a great way to cool off on a hot day).

Always a pleasure to make a little visit to the pirates of the Carribbean. You can't be disappointed! However to be honest I really prefer the Disneyland Paris version of the ride. But this one is also very nice.

This is one of my favorite must do rides when I'm at Disney World. It has been changed over the years but I still love it. Walt Disney himself had envisioned this as a walk through experience but fortunately the imageneers made it a boat ride. This is a dark ride with a longer experience time. This is great in the Summer when the Florida Sun is ready to cook you. The AC is cool and the earworm pirate music will have you singing along. Get ready for your trip as you walk through a Spanish fort on your way to your boat. Once you are set adrift you will hear the ghostly warning that "Dead men tell no tales" and get ready for the surprise after the coming storm. Keep your eyes open to spot Captain Jack Sparrow in several scenes. Sit back, relax and enjoy the pirates life.

Classic Disney boat ride. I ride it every visit as long as the queue is less than 30 minutes
