The larger animal control lady simply stalks one neighborhood. she spends an awful lot of time across the street parked in an apartment complex. Her friend lives there. She literally will see you walking and put her car in reverse to back down the street to see if she can spy on you. The residents in my building feel creeped out by her stalker behavior we have to assume there is more to addison than the park and that apartment building across the street from Fiori. where she seems to spend a goo portion of her shift. If she continues with the stalker behavior there will be formal complaints filed with the state. Since you have one truck i have to actually ask is she properly doing her job because 80 percent of her time in one spot in a city this size indicates its no way possible she could be. What are the requirements for an animal control officer. I would have to assume you would have to at least be in good physical condition. sitting at a distance and video taping citizens is disgusting. We are not dealing drugs people are walking their dogs and trying to stay fit. This officer sitting across the street out of the truck on what i assume should be her work hours since she is in the city truck is completely unacceptable. How are our tax dollars being spent. I will get the media involved if necessary. I will not allow what appears to be a lazy worker come up on our backs she needs to do actual job all the socializing across the street on city time needs to stop as does the stalker behavior. Since she is videotaping we as neighbors are now video taping her and how many times she visits across the street a day. I Will be seeing video to the mayors office as this will stop.

They seized my cat and then claimed he had bitten one of the officers. Due to that, they locked him in a tiny cage for 10 days in the Carrollton animal shelter. They called it a quarantine, I call it abuse. When I finally located him, they wouldn't let me even hold or touch him. I could tell he was absolutely terrified. They refused to let me take him home and said I had to wait til the next day. The officer then demanded I pay $150 to get him back and if I didn't pay it, he would kill him. How absolutely insane is it that they'd rather kill my pet than let him go home with me because of money. How greedy and heartless can someone be??? Anyways I was forced to give them the rest of the money in my bank account just to have my baby back. The whole experience was absolutely sickening from start to finish.

Addison animal control handled our skunk situation with the utmost care and professionalism. They found someone to care for the baby skunks that we found. That showed me they are willing to go the extra mile to resolve situations. Great job!

Incredibly nice people. I've had to contact them a few times for different reasons, and they've always been very professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate for the animals (pets and wild critters). These reviews are ridiculous. Clearly one lady expects them to break the law for her. Quarantine laws are made by the state, and the officers have to uphold the rules. And the guy that is criticising a pregnant officer? I saw her and talked to her (only female there) a few months ago, and she was very pregnant. Really classy behavior.

They were so helpful! My neighbor's dog kept getting into my back yard and tearing up my garden. After the 4th time, I called and Bethany came to remove the dog. She was gentle with the dog and very kind to me. Couldn't be more happy!

Disgraceful animal control! Refused to lend a feral cat trap because I lived outside of the Addison city limit. It was less than 2 miles. Do they want to help with the feral cat problem or not? Clearly, the officer couldn’t care less. Promised to meet me at 1:00 but sauntered in 25 minutes later. Then, denied a trap loan. Addison has gotten waaaay too exclusive for my taste. Will avoid your restaurants and venues. Snobville.

I adopted a wonderful dog from here and there are so many amazing dogs here they have for adoption. He’s healthy and vaccinated and they were so helpful and transparent in every step of the adoption process. I have always had great experiences with Addison Animal Control. They have always been responsive to any call or email I have made in the past before I adopted and all the officers are really kind and you can tell they love the animals. Please consider this place for adoption y’all, they are great people who are doing amazing work with limited funding during hard times.

Addison Animal Control responded promptly, professional and knowledgeable. I called regarding a trapped squirrel and they actually came out! I have also been on the other end when someone called regarding dog abuse - me of all people! The officer quickly and accurately accessed the situation and left on friendly terms.
