Astoria Caffe & Wine Bar

Went on a quiet morning with a friend to get coffee and walk around the cute Addison area. We were told that to-go orders had to be taken immediately off the front patio even though it wasn’t crowded at all…um ok. It was also very overpriced for the quantity and quality, and no refills. There’s better coffee and service available elsewhere. I don’t recommend coming here :/

So this cafe has ups and downs. The owner will close the cafe as he pleases, when the days are slow! Sometimes you will come across a waiter/waitress who will take forever to take order. But still it is my favorite. Feel like it is a bit overpriced? Yes. Price did go up. Instead of smoked salmon bagel thing, try salad. Have 5-cheese plate instead. You will love it.

Such a nice place for brunch. I went around 1p on a Sunday and sat outside so really not a big rush. The servers were super helpful and friendly and was very easy to talk to. I ordered the avocado toast (with an egg over medium) it came with a small salad. I also ordered a mango juice (not pictured) and I loved the taste of it (it was thicker than most mango juices, so be aware). Overall great experience; can’t complain.

This wine cafe has the most authentic European vibes. Whether you’re on a date, meeting friends, or even on your own you will receive the best quality of service from this family owned business. We love coming here for coffee and cake but have also enjoyed evenings with some wine and ambient music. The coffee is divine, the food is simple and desserts are delicious. The variety of wines is impressive and we’ve never been disappointment with the quality.

I have been here twice: once for brunch and once for dinner. Both times I was very impressed. The food is delicious and the service is amazing. The atmosphere is very relaxed and comfortable. This whole place is just fantastic.

Quite possibly the SLOWEST service I've ever experienced. The drinks are strong and creative but by the time you're able to even order them and enjoy them you're ready to go because you've been sitting there so long with no service. The atmosphere is so so cute and such a comfortable vibe and if the service wasn't so painfully slow I could see myself spending lots of time and money here. I don't care to return however, I do recommend that you try it out just so that you can see what I'm talking about.

Astoria is a slice of European culinary delicacy. The freshness of both the atmosphere and ingredients brings the dishes to life. I recommend the breakfast and brunch experience, and perhaps swing by for dessert and coffee after a meal and walk through Addison circle.

Overall I highly recommend this place.

This is a nice place for an after work snack, first time meet up, or a get away. Nicely tucked in to the neighborhood it’s almost reminiscent of a Parisian cafe. If you have time to kill of just want a slow enjoyable meal this is a good selection. They are limited with staff but the employees that are there are VERY hospitable and hardworking. Go easy on them after all they did show up even during a pandemic. 😷
