Porschea Dixson does an AMAZING job! I don't let just anybody in my hair, but she is very knowledgable, patient and funny! And did I mention patient? It takes 6+ hours to do a silk press because of my hair's texture and density, but she is so gentle with my strands. And there was no heat damage! My curls popped right back into shape. :)

Unfortunately it was a bad first impression. I arrive 15 minutes early for my appointment, yeah I found myself in the waiting room 15 minutes after the start of my appointment. When someone finally came to the front desk I told them that I had an appointment. They informed me that I would get an assistant to assist. The assistant had an attitude the entire time she washed and prepped me for the stylist. The stylist was unfortunately running behind and did not introduce herself until about two hours after me being there. My husband had surprise birthday plans for me, but they were ruined because my appointment ran way over. I booked another appointment to be consistent, but I canceled because I did not feel that my first experience was worth the $175 that I paid.

The stylist finally gave me a consultation about my hair, once she got to me 2 hrs later. I felt like a problem rather than a priority. I booked in advance and was early smh. Not to mention the style made me look like a church mother.

Hair results are great. HOWEVER, the hairstylists at this salon seem to be VERY inconsiderate of their customers' time. Prepare for double the amount of time your hair would likely take at another salon (HOURS longer). This salon allows one hairstylist to have multiple customers within the same timeframe. So customers end up waiting MUCH longer than necessary for their hair to be done while their stylist does someone else's hair - and I mean WAY past the time your hair has been washed and dried. This salon would do much better with fewer customers at time - one customer per stylist in a timeframe. Trying to squeeze multiple customers in at once is all about the money at the expense of other's time. I stopped going here for that reason.

My daughter recently had her hair done at this salon as a first time client. I left the appointment 4 hours later and was very disappointed with the service she received. One of my biggest complaints was having to wait while the stylist worked on other clients.
I was also hoping to talk with the stylist and become better educated on products and how to better take care of my daughters hair. Overall, for the amount I paid for the appointment it was disappointing to see the finished results.
I was expecting a great experience but that just did not happen.

Great atmosphere and overall vibe. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about hair care. Met the owner Whitney, and had my hair straightened and clipped by Jasmine. Everyone was approachable, and down to Earth. Whitney washed and dried my hair before putting it underneath the steamer, while we discussed hair care.

Location is easy to find on the border of Addison and Carrollton. Would definitely visit again, only con was they were late starting.

Great service with an underwhelming experience. Please read the entire review before planning your visit. I've been watching this salon for months on IG and decided to travel to Addison from right outside of Houston, which is about a 7-hour trip there and back. Let me first address the positives from experience: My stylist Tammy was so friendly. She took her time detangling my hair, which is attached to my very sensitive scalp, and we made it through two detangling sessions with minimal incidents. The products were fantastic; I even bought the co-wash because it made detangling so painless. The trim and silk press was the best I've ever had. I also loved that she showed me what she used before putting it in my hair. My service was definitely a high 4, with points deducted for the amount of time it took. Now, the not so positives: Time management was a repetitive theme throughout my visit. I arrived 15 minutes early, signed in, and sat in the waiting area but wasn't acknowledged until I got up and asked for the restroom because, after driving for 3 ½ hours, I was about to burst. I had to wait an hour plus after streaming because my stylist had another client, and while the booking site said the appointment would be about 3 hours, I was there a total of 6½ hours, which on top of the 7+ hours I drove, made for an extremely long day. The wait in between steaming and styling was uncomfortable as I had to sit on a bench with no ability to lean back or find any comfort. I felt forgotten while multiple stylists and even the owner walked past me without engaging me. Transparently, the owner finally asked if she could get me anything on her way out of the door after walking past me no less than five times. All of that equates to me rating the experience a 2, so my rating of 3 is based on the average of service (4) and experience (2) together. What would I be like to see if I were to go back: 1. A more engaging check-in experience with someone to greet me and do basic host-like things, such as offer me the restroom, a drink, and if they were really trying to impress me, take my coat. 2. Either better time management or an improved wait experience. For example, a lounge area where I could comfortably catch a nap, watch a show on my phone, or listen to music or eat. Also, a periodic check-in to update me on my wait time. 3. I want the experience I see on IG; my stylist asked questions, but I expected more opened ended questions since they are experts. I wanted to be coached, and all I got was a regular hair appointment that I could have received in Houston. All in all, I'm glad I had an opportunity to patronage this black-owned business, but the service would need to be elevated before I invested another 14 hours and $300 dollars.

When I first visited this salon, everything was great. My stylist seemed very knowledgeable about how to keep my hair growing. But after the second appointment, I was never able to reschedule with her again because she was always booked a month in advance.

Per her instructions, I was supposed to come every month. Since I could not get booked with her, I had to book with other people who I found were less skilled at treating my hair, or just felt like they were putting me in an assembly line.

A few times my appointment was canceled because the stylist wasn’t available. After being pitched about how to maintain and grow my natural hair, it seems crazy that I was never able to get another appointment again to continue the process with my stylist who was growing my hair. I later found out that the stylist was no longer working with that salon. She was definitely better than the other people that I saw.

Giving the extreme cost and the owners Instagram post about how to maintain and grow healthy hair, they really do need to work on both Customer Service and ensuring all their stylus are adequately trained. I feel like some of them have no idea what they’re doing because they’re just new. There are so many stylists in Dallas that I’m sure finding another healthy hair care specialist will be easy to do.

Took my daughter to get her straightened and trimmed for the first time professionally. Onna was patient and didn't seemed bothered; being that my daughter is 5 and kept moving all over the place. We will definitely be back. Its hard to find a beauty salon who will take kids that young. Wonderful job and her hair was NOT heat damaged!
