The waiters wear kimono, which is themey, but unlike in Canada where that would mean it was stereotypey and not very good or authentic, here it's just a nice detail. Atmosphere is calm, quiet, and pretty laid back. Menus are electronic, but ordering still involves speaking to the waiter.
For Ukrainian standards, it's on the expensive end of restaurants. Having never been to Japan, I can't really judge food for authenticity, but it was tasty and mostly in line with the Japanese food I have had in Toronto, and their claim their head chef is Japanese is believable.
Fried rice with vegetables - moist, not really warm, lack of vegetables - taste - because the lack of the proper herbs, flawless without the spicy taste you would expect in Japanese kitchen.
Sushi with tuna - tuna was not fresh and served grey inside a moist rice pack. I think they just put these sushi in the microwave and serve it. Taste, not fresh, lack of herbs.
Beef dish - this was really bad. They used the wrong kind of beef so the result was beef that you just could not eat. Like a tyre from a car.
So overall a very bad restaurant. In Europe it would not get any customers and would be bankrupt in one month. I asked the waiter to get the chef and let him taste and see what was served. Of course he did not come.
Plating and our menu items are always fresh with beautiful presentation!
Add the fact that the staff is English friendly!
We have a winner!
See you soon!
