The three stars are for the strong side - staff. Otherwise, the room was dated and looked 90s. Walls super thin so could hear the baby crying next door like it was right in my bathroom. Our room was right next to the lift engines so bloody noises 24/7 going uuuuuu click, wheeeee bang and again and again. Breakfast and food in general was nice. PS: The bartender was really polite and professional. Also, the lobby looks nice and swimming pool is free but can't comment as I did not use it.

We stayed for 1 night in BB one bed room. The bed was fine and comfortable, but there were no electric sources next to the bed. Two small bottles of water and set of tea and coffee is fine. The room was warm and calm. Wi-Fi is free and works in room and in the lobby. Breakfast is not the best factor of this hotel. Little choice of dishes, coffee was disgusting, vegetable salad was sour, sausages and scrambled eggs were cold although it was 7.30 am. There is no covered parking so our car was in snow. Additional you have to pay for the park place and there is no other option. I had free of cost underground parking in onother Mercure hotels, so I do not understand why there are so huge differences in the hotel chain. Food in other Mercures was quite good and can not understand why here it was distasteful. Swimming pool was OK, but there is no jacuzzi and sauna was too bright and just for 2 people. I have bigger one in my private apartment. There was a celling painter in the lobby what was quite strange. You should be carefully not to be painted! Personel was also strange. Lady from floor service knocked to our room at 10 am although we had the room till 12. You should give inform the staff that they can clean the room after guest left it. We felt uncomfortable and embarrassed indeed. In my opinion the hotel should strongly work for 3*** but nothing more. It shouldn't own the MERCURE brand at all.

Hotel was better than we expected. Mainly due to an upgrade to the Superior room that has been newly refurbished. No idea how the old rooms look like. But we also enjoyed redesigned lobby and breakfast area. Staff was very nice and professional. Swimming pool is probably waiting for its renovation but its shape is still very good and in a hot weather its presence was more than appreciated. City centre is not specially cute so we found the hotel location much nicer. Still it is only 20 minutes walk to the main square for a dinner or beer.

My stay at this hotel was arranged by KCM clinic nearby, 3 nights pre-surgery and 6 nights post-surgery, on a B&B basis.
The hotel is a larger building set in good grounds. The rooms are comfortable, airy, with single or queen/twin beds, with usual ‘extras’ such as TV, coffee making facilities, hair drier, and so on. The wheelchair-accessible room has an en-suite wet-room, but sadly no drawers/shelves to put clothes in, nor a comfortable arm chair to sit in.
Large, open reception, bar and restaurant, Leisure area on the floor below, lifts to all rooms. Most ‘front’ and restaurant staff spoke some English or German.

Two things stood out significantly: Quality of food in the restaurant, and the Staff.
Restaurant meals were absolutely delicious. The menu is a little limited but it ensured that food was freshly cooked, served and tasted delightful, without exception. Portions were large, and the cost of courses was most reasonable, excellent value for money.
It has been a long time since I have had such excellent service from hotel Staff. Without exception, they were professional, caring and accommodating, and made me feel welcome and ‘at home’. I had a couple of problems with ‘technology’, but the Staff in reception and restaurant couldn’t do more to help. At buffet breakfast I was immediately waited on without a second thought (post surgery disability and on crutches). They truly are a wonderful team, and a superb credit to the hotel and everyone. I can’t thank them enough.

Everyone is so helpful.. room was spotless.. food was delicious especially the pizza.. best hotel I've stayed in ever! Only 1 minor complaint was the tv had no English channels but overall a fantastic stay in a beautiful hotel & country.. will definitely be back! Many thanks to all the staff for making our stay as pleasant as it was

Rooms were clean and well equipped apart from the beds which were uncomfortable. Buffet was okay but limited in vegetarian options. Staff were friendly but with only limited English. Pool and sauna were good. Easy walk into town.
