Good value hotel with clean bedrooms & bathrooms. Mattress could be of better quality, but the bedding and pillows are excellent. Friendly staff and amazing location. Parking is a little bit of a walk, but not too bad. The 24 hour complimentary snacks and drinks is a really nice touch!

Good location. Very nice staff, meeting any needs. Due to my pregnancy and lack of lift, we got room on lower floor, which appeared to be also bigger than originally booked. They proposed also breakfast served to the room. Helped with printing and copying some docs without any poblems. There is free buffet open 24h with drinks, yogurts or snacks - great idea. The minuses are: no hair dryer in the room and just one sachet of body-and-hair gel per person. Most probably they will help with both things when you go to the reception desk, but as we were just for one night, we managed anyway.

For 12 years, I was a frequent guest in Hotel Jelonek, a small homelike family-run institution that provided a smattering of personal familiarity, this being the prime reason for coming here over and over again. But sold by its former owners to the Mercure chain, Hotel Jelonek as I knew it is alas no more.
Of course, the 18th-century building is still standing on that lively tiny square that marks off the western edge of Ul 1 Maja. The colourful facade adorned with friezed window frames, a traditional portal reminiscent of a bygone era and an ornamental roof parapet still stares you in the face as you roam around this historic quarter of Jelenia Gora. But the nostalgic name, Hotel Jelonek, so aptly chosen by the former owners was blown away and replaced by the businesslike name of Mercury Centrum.
The name has changed and with it, the atmosphere inside mutated into formality and impersonality. Members of the new staff are friendly and helpful, yes they were trained in hospitality, but being time-paid employees, they can never offer a service that matches in any way that offered by the former owners. “What shall I prepare for your breakfast next morning?” the daughter of the owner used to ask me every night before I took the steps to my room. On getting inside, the personal touch of the previous owners translated itself daily into fresh flowers and well... chocolate bonbons and a thank you note.
Since Mercure took over the business, the rooms were given a facelift, the furniture changed into contemporary and functional pieces and the additional furnishings were all renewed. But of course the rooms are what they are and as previously do not allow for any storage space. The bathrooms, though renovated with modern accessories are tiny and one has to squeeze oneself to get into the shower.
The breakfast room is in the attic, a minuscule space with low ceiling crammed with four tables and a kitchenette where the usual Mercure buffet is prepared. The food is good and fresh and definitely, there’s no room for complaints but... the hot dishes formerly provided by Jelonek have gone the way of the dodo.

We have stayed at the Merkury on our business tripp to Jelenia Gora.
We loved the service, clean rooms, kind staff and nice location. Also the guarded parking close to the hotel is great as the guard is!
In december we will visit the Merkury again and enjoy the Polish hospitality!

It doesn't look like 3-star services.
Room without wardrobe and chest of drawers, tiny bathroom with sink smaller than my hand and unusable (never seen so small). Blackened soap dish in shower, perhaps rusty and in any case unpleasant. The water comes out of the shower very weak. Breakfast is fine and the service is run by good girls, nothing to complain about.
