Highly recommended place for a few nights. You have interestingly arranged rooms, you can have a "beer spa" (yes, you can have a bath in beer), but what's the most impressive, there is a very good restaurant. They brew their own beer, they smoke their own sausages and make their own bread. Do you need anything more?

Very good, and their staff are equally good.

Near a branch of Aldi and a few little shops you'll find this rather interesting hotel which is one of the best I've stayed at, considering price. Yes, it has a few drawbacks, but they are outshone by the merits.

Firstly, the room was spacious and immaculately clean to most areas. Only a little brick dust at the window spoilt that -- the style of the hotel is exposed brickwork. Unfortunately, this brick dust although confined to the window area and behind the curtains, can also mean the odd spider may venture into the room. There was indeed a small spider hiding between the main heavy drape and the net curtain behind it :(

The ceilings are high, windows huge; from this, there's a feeling of spaciousness and splendour. The room's seem to have been thought through quite well with an interior designer although the colours may appeal more to men (the hotel's theme is beer, but it's not rammed down your throat, if you'll pardon the pun).

What I liked about the room: spacious, luxurious feel, tasteful decor, very clean, desk and sofas, nice TV with BBC World News as well as other channels, quiet apart from someone hammering a little in the car park from 8am.

What I disliked about the room: bathroom door has no lock plus its frosted glass door gap underneath impairs sound insulation and privacy if someone's in the bathroom, bathroom radiator and room heater wouldn't come on so it was a bit chilly. The bed is near the windows. There was no tea or coffee in the room, just water. No small bottle of shampoo or soap in the bathroom, just squeeze bottles of Dove on the walls. The bathroom windows are partially frosted with sticky plastic, but they are so tall that in theory it is possible for a view of a person in the bathroom to be seen if someone wanted to look from nearby windows of other windows or from blocks or buildings in the distance. Unlikely, but privacy is important for many. (This is not the first time I've encountered similar in Poland - another much more expensive hotel's conference suite many miles away had men's toilets with windows that were clearly and easily overlooked by an office or other building across a forecourt. It would in theory have been possible there for people to see others with their back to the window using urinals.)

The night porter or receptionist was thorough, patient and polite plus he spoke English very well indeed, and he brought a kettle in moments when I asked for it. Checking-in and out was painless and quick. All the staff were similarly pleasant and something the hotel can be proud of. It must also be added that the cleaning staff did an absolutely impeccable job of the bathroom and most of the bedroom.

Breakfast was quiet and relaxing with a little music playing in the background from France, Ireland and probably Germany. Very nice atmosphere. The scrambled eggs were slightly cold and slightly too creamy but many like them like that and perhaps they were much warmer earlier. The fruit juice seemed to not be natural or fresh - that was disappointing but I've seen it elsewhere too. However, breakfasts here can cost non-residents 39zł, so fresh juice should be a given!

If you want to reach Jasna Gora or the city centre, it's a few stops on the bus to the main street, probably about 12zł in a cab/taxi, and no more than 10-15 mins on foot. You should take a look at the Solidarity memorial on your route. Massively important to Poland and the world, and worth seeing.

In summary: 4.5 out of 5. They do 95% of it very well. They need to put locks on the bathroom doors, sort out the bathroom door base for sound insulation, sort out the frosted bathroom windows, put a kettle plus teabags & instant coffee in rooms, drop a small bottle of shower gel in the bathroom, and clean the brick dust from interior window sills. But the relative luxuriousness of the very clean rooms and bathrooms, and the lots of thought that the hotel and its decor boasts, makes up for these shortcomings.

09.06.18 quite good beer, slow service, soap borsch REAL disaster, meal beef cheeks very good. My personal opinion = too expensive for such kind of service.

If you want to relax in the spa, make sure you book in advance. There is no common area available to all guests and limited chance that you can just ‘walk in’. The lift is super slow and it is much faster to use the stairs. Those with heart conditions will need to wait 5min for the lift to arrive and another 10 to get to the top. Good that the history of the building is described in the lift, at least you do not get that bored when you are trapped in there. Rooms are rather tiny with everything you need but no personal touches. Limited amount of tioletries. Top floor rooms only have roof windows.

I’m sure the ‘Beer Wall’ is great - and a funny idea, but - we just wanted two IPAs, which is only offered on the do-it-your-self-wall, you will however need to buy a card for the wall - the minimum value of the card is 55 sz - equal to 4 beer… At the bar they could offer Pils or Honey beer - that was not what we were looking for though.

We found a different location…

(…side note: I actually appreciate to have my beer poured and served, maybe that’s just me being strange).

It is an out of usual hotel. I was given the submarine room. Funny.
Decent restaurant and they have their own beer tanks.
Everything was just fine until something in my submarine started to make noise. I had to cover this water pipes with towels to make it less noisy. At the end was not too bad.

I was absolutely satisfied with this place. Starting from very friendly staff over well equipped big rooms to outer restaurant where I had dinner and a few local beers. I can only recommend this place! I have visited at least 4 different hotels in Czestochowa and this one is the best. A funny story, I was warned at the reception that the lift was very slow but had some luggages so I preferred to use that lift. Check the video enclosed. It took cca 50 seconds to get from one floor to another one :-D
