Needed a cheap place to sleep, this hotel did exactly that! Very comfortable bed and a great location. The missing star is due to the check-in process not being clear to me. It is self service, so you need a code to get in the front door. I never knew or received an obvious mail about this. Easily rectified by phoning the lovely people on the number indicated on the door, but a little hindrance. Would you it again for a crash pad any day!

It's a charming hotel, not a comfort hotel.
We stayed in the "tower room" (number 9).
The view is lovely and the room is certainly charming.
Unfortunately the room is also quite small and lacks several basic conveniences.
On one side of the bed you can't stand up straight because the roof slopes down over the bed.
An extra pane of glass has been attached to the original single pane windows but this does insulate sufficiently.
After a couple of warm days the temperature I'm the room was unpleasantly high.
The fan available in the room is insufficient to cool the room. The windows can be locked open a few millimetres but this does not allow enough cool air to flow in.
Opening the windows further allows rain to pour in and flood the room.
The only way to get into the shower is to move sideways between the shower door and the washbasin.
Breast time to visit is probably in spring or early autumn when it's not too cold or too hot outside.

Automated checkin >no interaction with anyone. The heating was off when I got to the room and the TV remote was not working, the lack of the reception to get it fixed or to solve any other issue is quite a big deal. No heating in the restroom. My room was a bit noisy as I was staying in front of the door in the corridor.
Perfect position and cool interiors.

The 'little' in Little Duke is certainly true. The rooms are tiny, the bathroom so small you have to either keep the door open when you go to the toilet or sit side-saddle. Shower was under the incline of the attic roof, with an angle. If you're tall, you wouldn't fit in there. That being said, the location is great, the price is decent, the design is cool, the beds are comfortable. In the center of town, so noisy, and in the middle of summer incredibly hot.

Nice location, great bed, just what you need for one night. If your dream is to ever shower in the size of an IKEA shower, this is the place to be. Bathroom is SUPER small, both shower and toilet cannot be used comfortably. Hotel has lovely service and design throughout. Would go again but only for 1 night and when I'm out during the day.

The room (No. 8) was super small, hot (under the roof ( in August)) and noisy. They try to mitigate this by providing an airco. Impossible to use the airco at night. Too noisy. The room was not clean-clean. Nonetheless, not dirty. The bathroom was so small that it is challenging for tall people to enjoy a normal shower and possible to use the toilet normally. The quality of the bed incl. duvet and pillow was all right. When you enter the hotel to do your self check-in, it smells a bit musty. All in all, I cannot recommend this hotel.

We experienced a very unpleasant stay at Little Dukes. The rooms were not clean, lots of dust, hairs of the previous visitors and moist in the ventilation spot in the bathroom. The paint had fallen of the walls, a painting in the hallway was missing. The place is just a ‘milking cow’ for the owner to make a lot of income without investing in the place or you as a visitor! The self service check-in is just an example of this. As well as the breakfast deal with the coffee lab below. We weren't paid any attention had to ask for our coffee for multiple times, and we even missed part of the promised breakfast as the kitchen was closed… not worth our 180! Euro’s at all… very disappointed… and wouldn’t recommend this place even if I would get my money back… :(

The room was small, but I knew that in advance, and it was big enough for just me alone. It was well set-up with a small fridge, small desk and complete bathroom. It was a little warm in the room, but opening the window before bedtime solved that problem. The bed was comfortable.

However, I was staying here for work, and I specifically looked at breakfast times before booking. Breakfast was available from 7 in the morning it said, which is perfect, since I had to leave at 8. When arriving for breakfast at 7.30, they told me the kitchen would not open until 8. I already paid for the breakfast, so I didn't have any other option than to wait. I asked them to pack the breakfast for me, which they kindly did. However, this caused me quite a lot of stress, since I couldn't leave until 8.20 with my breakfast on the go. That also meant I still had to eat the breakfast while working, and I could've easily slept for another hour. I was late for work, without having had breakfast, which was not what I specifically looked for in a hotel.
