Daugavgrīvas fortress was built in the Swedish Livonia in the 17th century. A place worth seeing and exploring. Open on weekends.

Extremely interesting site with historic buildings that you can walk into and explore yourself. Bring a lightsource. 100% recommended for a visit

Admission only on Saturday and Sunday. 10am-16pm. This is really hard to see how Latvia take care about their history. No restoration, no landscaping for such a historical place. Really?
