Many years before there been popular Latvian gifts shop. Now there is big post office. It's amazing for this company - there staff is working faster than in other post offices.

Had to wait for some time, but the customer service was helpful and polite. Good souvenir selection, e.g. LV100🇱🇻 memorabilia and first day cover envelopes and stamps. Also raincoats and other items are available. This office doesn't have the new interior, so there's less options for passing the time while you wait.

Place postcard, letter and packages to send, stamps or public transport tickets to buy or just bills to pay. You need to take number for the row and to wait. Service quite good and qualitative.

Extremely unfriendly staff, computer also not did work... it was not possible to send a registered letter

Corruption made this into one of the worst companies ever! Slow and extremely unreliable!

This is the worst experience i ever had in my life. I was at the post office in the city Brīvības bulvāris 32 where i wanted to post a parcel to my hometown. The content were old motorcycle Tachometers. After waiting 45 minutes to get an appointment with an old lady at the front desk, i was forced to open my parcel. Thereafter the lady was looking for my parts, taking out the instruments and smelling on them. As they are from the 50ies and used, they were not new! For that she refused to post my parcel. (within EU)
I took a taxi and went to the post office near the Airport, where also an old lady checked my Insruments, putting on white latex gloves , touched the parts and showing me the dirt. She also refused to post my parcel.
It is dangerous goods she said!!!!!! (Interesting, i am Airline Commander and i know well what is DG, sorry!)

Latvijas Pasts, it is a shame and a pity what to experience there at your Post offices.
I do NOT recommend any foreigner to go there and post things, use a kurier or anything else!

Absolute WORSE Customer treatment if your are foreigner!!!!!!

I was refused to send the parcel to Germany with liquid inside. I did not found any official information about such ban in the post office. When I asked where I can find rules for sending parcels, I did not get any answer, unfortunately. That’s sad and pity it is not allowed to send liquid in the parcel. I had to find private delivery company for a half of the day 🤦‍♂️
