Museum of the Popular Front of Latvia

Really good museum. Takes a different point of view to most of the bigger museums. Interesting to learn what else was going on during world wars etc and how latvian people responded. It's free and we'll worth a visit. They keep it interesting with different media, films, TV, phonecalls all have English descriptions.

Popular Front was a leading peaceful organisation to fight against the soviet rule.

Interesting account of the collapse of the Soviet empire and the key role played by this organisation in achieving freedom for Latvia.

I was unlucky went on Monday and was closed, but I was there on Tuesday. As always history of popular movements is forever interesting and appealing.

Great free, quick museum. Definitely worth a visit.

Very well curated, interactive and informative exhibition. Free too.

Very interesting museum about Latvian independence movement in 80' and 90'.
Sadly is not so popular and widely known as another museums in the city :-(
Well prepared for foreigners, all texts of exhibitions are available in English and Latvian language. We were only visitors an hour before closing and due to that we had a chance to discuss about exhibitions with very nice guy working here - awesome experience in general :)
