Museum of the History of Riga and Navigation

€5 for entrance and a lot of interesting objects to explore. Good place to get some facts about Riga history.
Entrance is by main cathedral door.

Very interesting museum, mainly about citizens in Rīga and their life and culture.

Beautifully presented, readable guide in at least 4 languages, and very friendly staff

detailled museum, there are booklets in english, german and russian for direct translation of the on sight latvian description.
Exhibition about founding of city, german (order)/ russian domination time, napoleon time, soviet time. many nice pictures of recent decades.
Also at the end nice rooms about seafaring with many detailed models.

Very interesting museum about the history of Riga. Not sure where the Navigation part comes in. Maybe the rooms of ship models. It's a big museum so plan a couple of hours. Recommended.

Riga has such a rich history, so a visit to this museum is very much worth it. Well explaining booklets in every room (in several languages), and tour guides are available for a fair price. When visiting the Baltic states knowing something about the most important city of the region is an absolute must. This museum is a great start, but deep divers that already have a basic knowledge will be served too all to well.

The Museum of the History of Riga and Navigstion is a treasure of the heritage of the Republik of Latvia for every visitor that is a par of the Dome Cathedral (an entrance to the both is separated).

Interesting museum of city of Rita, which is capital of Latvia. Connected with Dome church and have huge source material. Helpful guides who offer also tours around Old city of Riga.
