Really enjoyed my visit today. The paintings were amazing.
The Oriental and Greek exhibition was excellent. I hadn't expected to see such beautiful artifacts. 👌I highly recommend visiting the gallery if your visiting Riga.

Art museum in the very heart of Riga. Historical building of stock exchange. Permanent collection offers wide range of artefacts from ancient Egypt sarcophagus, ancient Greek and Roman art, Chinese, Japanese, Middle East art objects. Paintings from different eras. Good overview of classics.
Beautiful interior, recently renovated. Exposition is located on 4 floors. It takes about an hour to get acquainted with all the exhibits.
I really enjoyed the Nicholas Roerich's exposition, especially his tempera artworks.

Well it is not a big museum, like everything in Latvia - but on the other hand you can walk it through in 2 hours and see mostly everything. Beautiful hall designs and cute paintings, nothing too overwhelming but it is what it is.

Renovated building, wonderful museum. The halls are luxurious, authentic. Here you will see a European, Asian, authentic gallery. Roerich expedition was impressive!!! And also to be here mummy in sarcophagus.

An interesting art collection on 3 floors, from Ancient Egypt all the way to modern times. The building itself is also a beautiful piece of architecture.

This is s relatively small museum in a beautiful building. Very much worth a visit, both for the art, artifacts, and the architecture. Get a ticket for the whole museum, including any special exhibitions, since the curation is really nice. You can see everything without rushing in about 3 hours.

Beautiful museum in centre of Old city for viewing of foreign art - specially Northern and eastern art. Amazing architecture.

Really good museum. The downstairs was closed, but the two upstairs rooms were very informative with European art and items from Japan, China, a few from Egypt and India to name a few.
