The houses are definitely worth seeing from the outside and it is nice that you can go in for free & see the huge ground floor fireplaces, also there was a small & quite interesting display about the development of the Riga area & how a whole swathe of the suburban area came to be built over without proper planning.
The building is mainly in use as an archive & the staff are not particularly welcoming to visitors, so don't feel you've missed a lot if you come when it's closed.
