very interesting pieces on exposition, but doesn't feel coherent - every single room looks like a completely different museum, one room looks like a modern art museum, the next like a horror house which also applies to English annotations. Sometimes they're there, sometimes you just have to guess what something is because the only description is in Latvian. Still recommended.

Chills and goosebumps especially in the lower floors covering middle ages medicine and medical procedures. Ending with early Soviet space program, this museum gives you a good insight on what things were like in the past. English translations missing on some of the interesting pieces but that's what Google is for. 🙂

You'll be surprised what they have here. from Iron Lung, X-ray machines to Russian Astronaut suits!

Excellent place to take a glimpse on the history of medicine. And not just that.
Photo of a statue of St Roch.

I have already been here twice and there is still something to discover.
Absolutely worth a visit! One of my favorite spots in Riga with a lot of creative elements, as well.
Generally, the progress of medicine is such an incredible topic!

A must visit if in Riga. The most eclectic collection of medical equipment along with an insight into Soviet museums of the 50s. Must see the dog with two heads, the dog that went to space and one of Pavlov’s dogs.
Incidentally, the museum is just across the road from the Russian embassy!

I was expecting a bit more. The addmision is 2.5 euro so it is nice for a rainy day.
Many of the object that are on the pics are not in the museum anymore.
