Latvian National Opera

Beautiful opera house, smaller but comparable to the Scala in Milano (my personal impression, seen both) but much cheaper. Saw a very entertaining modern Don Giovanni which I enjoyed a lot. Friendly staff, gifted singers and dancers,fair pricing (Coffee plus cake for 8 Euros. 42 Euros for a seat at the center of the dress circle). Can online recommend to spend an evening there if you are staying in Riga.

Beautiful theater! All the seats seem to have a great view. Nice acoustics. We watched Don Giovanni and it was a good performance.

What a wonderful evening at the opera. We even had time at intermission to stop down for champagne and cake. The opera is a don't miss when visiting Riga, the change all the time, check the website. It was just wonderful.

Amazing Opera house! Beautiful performances and beautiful building inside out! Highly recommend visiting! Recently went to Don Juan and Simone Bocanegra! Both were great!

Had an amazing experience watching the three mousquetaires. Being my first time going for such an activity, i think the performance got me wanting for more and i really hope no i will definitely be visiting this plave more often for more events of this kind.

Superb theatre! Very beautiful and well maintained! The performance I attended that was carried by the local ballet was world class! Fantastic dancers! Affordable prices, friendly staff!

Location is extremely convenient to get to from the city, not sure about parking as we walked from the town centre. Beautiful interiors and exteriors. Relatively comfortable seating, unfortunately not all seats show full coverage of the stage, the seats towards the edges show approx 2/3rd of the stage and 1/3 of the orchestra so would recommend setting towards the centre. Sound and lighting was good. The furniture is a bit dated and creaks could be heard during performances. The stairwell carpets need to be replaced as they smelt awful and looked quite dated. Cloakroom is free.
