It's a very new building, which means it has a lot of modern design elements and architecture. There are brand new lecture halls, laboratories, a library, everything a university would need. Oh, and the canteen has very reasonable prices.

In the place there is a nature house which is based around chemistry, geology, biology. But the house that's next to the nature house is the science house and there are math and autonomy faculties

Modern technology, student-friendly interior design and phenomenal architecture (multi-award-winning by the amazing, modern architect Vita Polkovnikova) make a study experience one to remember. A few years ago, I did a preliminary social media-based research regarding the images students post on Instagram tagging the building in the location. I found that a significant factor was the interaction with the building's interior design elements (in fact all made by local Latvian designers and artists) in the building. Some of the elements most appreciated by users of the building were: "Maffam Freeform" hanging chairs from basalt fiber, an unbelievable 20 tonnes heavy glass artwork (largest in the Baltic states) by glass artist Ernest Vitin, and wall paintings by Kristīne Luīze Avotiņa. These elements seem to inspire students to study through day and night (24 hours library) :) Whenever I visit the University of Latvia Academic Centre I wish I had a talent in chemistry.....

Very modern University in Latvia. The lecturers seemed very helpful and knowledgeable. I and some colleagues were working on a Sustainability study trip from London South Bank University.
