Relatively central hotel. Rooms not properly cleaned and room service was repetitively not made (we hat used towels from predecessors, toilet not cleaned two days). Service only acts after hours and repetitive complaints, then they brought us missing towels around midnight and woke us up. Telling we were sleeping did not help, they knocked until we opened, also a way to cope with nagging guests I suppose. Room was tiny, should be 20sqm according to reservation, it's just enough to turn on the sides of the bed. Again, complaints don't help. You get promises at the reception but no action. All rooms have aged carpets. Fortunately we just sleep there and we're on tour on daytime. Breakfast is ok'ish. Not 4* level, most hostels are cleaner and friendlier with the same room size and a fraction of the price. If you compare to other brand hotels, mercure is just levels below competition,there may be good rooms and better roommaids, but if you have bad luck, your trapped there. You pay for an international brand like Mercure because you want no surprises and a decent standard. This mercure is just terrible!! I like this hotel. Very good location in the centre, hotel is clean and nicely equiped. Room was very comfy. Breakfast offered all you can need.

Guest rooms feel like a budget motel. Kettle included but no coffee; asked for some, never arrived. Reported non-working TV, not fixed (yet). Wood floors marred like a train station. Turning on nightstand reading lamps requires that overhead lamps are also turned on. Positives: convenient location near train station and modern mall. Shower works well, good security.

Overall great experience. The room was very clean and organized. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious and of course the location is the best. Definitely recommend it!

Inner spaces in Riga have never been as cold as this - I guess there is a limit to the heat used for public spaces this season... I however was not uncomfortable in the hotel. Nice breakfast, quiet lobby bar, helpful maintenance (the tv in my room was not running, they replaced it very quickly). I guess I'd be a returning customer. Being close to a big mall and the ginormous food market are a strong plus!

The hotel is located on the walking distance from Main Bus and Train station and within just 10-15 minutes you can experience old town of Riga.
Customer Service is up to the Mark and Staff are very polite, caring and helpful.
You can also get your breakfast in the room and room are very well maintained and Internet is very fast with dedicated Wifi for each room which increase More speed and security for guests.
Spa and sauna gives you the ultimate relaxing experience at Mercure Riga Center after exploring Riga and a central tub gives you the opportunity to relax.
The Traveller restaurant offers the best Breakfast experience and variety of food is very good.
Overall we had a great time staying at Mercure Riga Center and we highly recommended others to stay here as well.

Very helpful staff, polite and friendly 👍 Room comfortable👍 However, when I arrived I was told the restaurant had closed early because it wasn’t busy👎 Not possible to eat (so I ordered a Bolt). I had emailed the hotel earlier in the day asking that the minibar have all alcohol removed - this didn’t happen. That is *really* poor. 👎

Easy to travel by bus 22 from and to the airport. Large shopping center next to the hotel. Old town is very neart, too.
