This park is such a wonderful place for families. There are tons of fun things for kids to do in addition to the simple, natural beauty of the area. Most of the things for kids are outside, so like most parks it might not be fun in the rain. Aside from that obvious point, though, I can't imagine a place more fun for young kids (up to 12 years old) that is still enjoyable for adults.

We loved this place! The entrance is for 450 yen and is totally worth it! We took a bus from the end of the Namboku line of the subway and got off at the central exit (last stop). This area is huge with many flowers in bloom at different seasons. There are different courses where visitors of all age can enjoy. Particularly this place seemed to be popular with children. There are many activities children can do here. We visited this place in October, which is just the onset of Autumn.

Tip: Take your obento with you. Of course you can eat inside and the food is alright but if you want to enjoy outdoors, Obento would be nice!

THE BEST PARK for nature lovers. Flowers galore, green fields, grassy hills, clean walkways, lively atmosphere, clear, blue sky- ah! I miss it, I'd definitely come here again if I revisit. We went during fall so it might look different during other seasons.

Great on the weekends! Food, entertainment and nature. What more can you ask for?

One tip is to park in the EAST parking lot to avoid climbing the hill to the restaurants and cafes. The Central parking lot is nice, but a bit far removed from most of the action.

Went here last month on their Halloween event and it was so nice for the kids. The autumn foilage were lovely, specially kochia plants. The restaurant here had good food too, although the place's heater could've been warmer hehehe. The park has lots of fun and creative activities for kids and the kids at heart, although because of the pandemic they are closed for the time being. There's a huge parking space before going into the inner park area, for cars 600cc and below(普通自動車) the parking fee(rather entrance fee to the parking area will cost ¥420) and another ¥450 when you go inside the park. The entrance fees to the park are discounted for people with disabilities, senior citizens(certain passes/IDs might be required) and if you are going in groups. Please do check their website for more timely information :)

I came in the last week of March and it still has good snow around. I definitely will recommend this place for the first timer skier and family.
It’s free admission during winter time. They have many good spots and activities. The price for the rent is also cheaper. They provide free tube sledding and you can borrow snow walking shoes for free.
It’s about 1 hour from Sapporo with easy transportation.
