Colombia is also one of the most populous countries in South America, with over 50 million people. The capital of Colombia is Bogotá, which is also the largest city in the country. Colombia's economy is largely based on agriculture and mining, and the country is a major producer of coffee, coal, and oil. Colombia is also a recent member of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), having joined in May 2013.
