Terrific for train spotting. Great café too. Nice conversation with one of the local trainspotters! Station is elegantly restored, working station. But they need a museum! The CP is fundamental to the economic and social history of Canada. CP is still a busy working railroad but they could do more to make this station a destination for Banff’s millions of visitors.

Banff station is a railway station in Banff, Alberta, Canada. It is used by the Rocky Mountaineer and Royal Canadian Pacific rail tour services. The station is located on the Canadian Pacific line. The station was originally built for the Canadian Pacific Railway. The station was declared a heritage railway station by the federal government in 1991.
The city of Banff is quite beautiful and was packed with tourists. Kinda like Gatlinburg with shop after shop, plus lots of motels and thousands of people walking around shopping. The Banff National Park surrounds it.
