Canada Post

Most staff are super nice and friendly. Easy to deal with. Good service and I like them very much. They can be straight forward but people need to realize that sometimes they are having a bad day. This doesn't make them bad people. Keep smiling :)

I am not sure if there is a lack of Customer appreciation, or if the employees here are over worked. They fail regularly at providing a friendly service. They appear to not want to do anything out of their regular routine.
They do not want to offer any help until after the fact. They will sell you the envelope you grab off the wall, they won't ask you anything about it. Then when you go to use it, they will make you feel like an idiot for not saying something when you were buying it. Not mentioning you wanted to mail it quickly and how this wasn't the right envelope!
This is where Canada Post is failing.
Find people who have strong interpersonal skills, who are friendly with the clients and each other. Or these ladies need to see that they are giving horrifyingly miserable service, and change their attitudes at work.
If you are unhappy in your job, then move on to something else.

This is a post office we have used for years. The staff have always been welcoming, kind, and helpful. I've even had circumstances that prevented me from picking up a parcel and they worked with me to ensure that I was able to get it. Kind communication goes a long ways towards building a good relationship with your postal workers.

There have been many changes and adjustments as Blackfalds has grown far beyond the capacity of its tiny post office, and the employees have met them head on and worked hard to do their best with the space they have. Despite the discourtesy of mailbox subscribers who, at times, somehow feel that the post office functions as their personal space to sort their mail and leave what they don't want strewn about at all hours (for shame!), it's cleaned up and ready to go for the next day.

At times there can be very long waits as this outlet is not equipped to assist more than one person at a time if folks need to have a transaction rung through. A lack of equipment or inadequate staffing hours provided by the employer is not the fault of the employees or of the manager here.
Be prepared to wait and have a kind or encouraging word ready for those who work here. And if you happen to be in and there isn't a line, that's the time to get things done!

I'll second all the bad reviews I have yet to have a positive experience at the post office.

this post office is no longer sufficient for a growing town. Often you will be waiting in line for over 20 minutes because they only run 1 till. 8/10 times the workers are unfriendly.

Born and raised in Blackfalds and I've never had a bad experience at the Canada Post in town.
Staff are always friendly ans helpful even though they put up with so many angry and frustrated people on a daily basis!

Most days I would rate this establishment five starts. Not today. Rude customer service. “Technically I don’t have to help you” I was told by the lady behind the front desk. Went to pick up my package with my ID and box number, like I usually do. She would not even look it up on her system and told me I needed to have the slip.

I like the post office and I know most of the staff who are very friendly and do there best to help people but like all places these days it would be nice to have 2 people always at the counter during busy hours of the day.
