Currently renovating the big theater just the 2 small ones open right now. Seats are a bit small but still comfortable. Would be nice if the house lighting was brighter so you can find a seat easier before the movie starts.

The staff are atrociously terrible at providing competent service. I have been to the theatre numerous times and each time it feels like everything the staff does is an inconvenience to them. "I would like to purchase tickets to ___ movie please" - response "sigh" or grumbling, "well you have to pay cash" or some miserable comment. Butter layered? You might have as well as asked them to count 100000 pennies. It's almost worth the drive to Edmonton to get service with a smile, good or great sound system and comfortable seats with working drink holders.

Do not recommend but unfortunately the only theatre in town.

Screens are on the small size, price is decent for a movie theatre but building is old and being there in the winter is scary with the ice falling off the roof and startling you in the middle of the movie. Also, a massive cleanup after every showing wouldn’t hurt... otherwise staff is really nice and movies showing are always pretty recent.

Everytime I go it's pretty alright. popcorn is very good, Snacks are all good, sodas are pretty good but heckin wish there were some more choices for soda. A minor complaint is that the floors are quite sticky and at times slippery. I am happy that seats are gonna be updated but I think seats are only the beginning of needed changes. - Logan

Currently here for work purposes and wanted to check out a new movie. Prices are great, they accept debit, the middle theatre I went to was clean and seats looked newer. Comfy in my opinion. I highly recommend others to go and check this place out while away from home. :)

A lot of reviews here from several years ago have complaints about staff and seats. I'll say that there has been new management in the last year or so, and I've found the customer service to be exceptional. They messaged me to inform that the movie I was waiting on, and was uncertain it would come here, (Bob's Burgers) was in. The seats have been replaced in recent years and are much comfier, with more useful cupholders, than years past. Even the sticky floors have been rectified for the most part! Previously Alma only accepted Cash, but they now have online booking and credit/debit options as well as the ATM.

Yes the prices are city prices and the building is old as the hills, but I will always support our small town theatre. We are lucky to have the option to enjoy the big screen within a few minutes of our homes. The staff is wonderful and the treats are just as delicious as any other theatre. My only complaint is the taps in the bathrooms because you have to hold them to keep them running, but that is minor. Thank you Alma for always being there for this movie loving gal and her son!

I have yet to visit here but my best friend says that they have multiple screens, which is really surprising for a small town theatre. My friends from the base mention they enjoy going there. From walking past it I noticed the showings and even though its a small town theatre they still had the current popular hollywood movies playing. I heard its cash only which is partially one of the reasons I haven't found myself inside yet.
