I had a major surgery here two weeks ago with Dr. Laliberte. This hospital has great protocols during COVID-19. The nurses have amazing bedside manner, they explain in detail all the steps to make sure you know what to expect before and after surgery. Everyone is very caring and attentive. Most rooms are private with a great view. I would like to thank nurses: Kat, Kenth, and Brooklyne for taking care of me during my short stay.

Just recently had ACL surgery here. The hospital is obviously an older building. But is clean and up to date.
My surgery was first thing in the morning, I was there an hour or so before the shift change between day and night. But all the staff were still super friendly, helpful and able to have a conversation with me. Which says a lot after just performing a night shift, truly amazing people!
Surgeons and doctors made me feel super comfortable in the operating room and didn’t have me feeling nervous after meeting them all.
Surgeons, admitting staff and everyone in between made my experience probably as great as it could be.

Happy this was the hospital I was able to get referred too.

Thanks for everything :)

I had a very specialized knee surgery performed that was quite intimidating and bothersome for me, with the treatment I received and noticed others receiving by all of the nurses and staff were incredible and made it comforting and eased my mind. I can’t thank all the nurses and support enough for their hard work and thoughtfulness.

My main caregivers that I could remember were Kent (super awesome), Nick, Nancy (physio), and Chelsea, and a few others forgive me that I can’t remember your names. You guys are very special and great nurses, keep rocking on!.

A special shout out to Dr. Kopka, I can’t thank you enough for giving my knee another chance.

Excellent ACL surgery experience. I had torn my ACL a few months ago and was waiting for my paperwork to file into the hospital to get onto a waiting list for an upcoming surgery with Dr. Buchko. I had Ruby from scheduling call me a few weeks ago informing me that I was finally approved on my paper work and she would put me down for surgery and a possible last minute cancellation. The team and Ruby had called me two days later letting me know they had a cancelation and had a spot for me, letting me know my surgery would be in a week in comparison to two months. To be frank I could have cried on the phone, as someone who commutes via walking and for personal therapy having my knee back in place was such a key point to my mental health and having the team process everything so quickly I am so grateful for.
I have unfortunately had some past negative experiences with hospitals and my visit with Banff Mineral Springs Hospital was night and day, they have completely replaced my initially anxious mind as their staff were exceptional in all areas.
Shortly after arriving they had me in my room (lovely view of the mountains and river side) and suited for surgery after being introduced to the lovely staff, everyone went into full detail regarding what to expect and answered all of my questions.
They had me ready to go within two hours and had me in a calmer state pre surgery.
I later woke up to a mama bear and baby cub playing outside of my windows and to gf snacks.
As much as I have appreciated everything the nurses (names started with k and n, however have slipped from my mind!) as well as doctors including Dr. Nielsen had done to make my stay comfortable I do hope this is one of the very few time I have to step inside their hospital, as well kept as it is. That being said I have never had a more pleasant interaction and aid within the medical system and am grateful for the staff and everything they have done. Thank you to Dr. Buchko and the team for everything.

Due to an emergency, we visited this hospital on 17 September 2022. One of the best hospitals I visited so far in Canada. All the staff including screening, front desk, nursing and doctor were excellent. They were so welcoming and helpful. Staff was very understanding. They went above and beyond to help us in a difficult situation.

Common issue at most hospitals is long wait times. There was a little wait here as well but the staff gave us motivation that it won’t be too long and they gave us approximate time frames about when we can expect to see the doctor. This was helpful. They understood our difficult situation and showed an attitude to help us as best as they can.

Apart from Doctor/nurses, special thanks to the screener and the front desk registration for being so helpful to my family.

Staff is friendly, caring, polite and helpful.

Thank you again to all the hospital staff here.

I had knee surgery at the hospital. The booking clerk who made sure I got a date asap was fantastic and went above and beyond to help me! Not only was Dr. Kopka an amazing surgeon, everyone was simply wonderful. They were welcoming, compassionate and reassuring. The nurses listened to my questions, and helped me feel less worried and concerned. There were warmed up blankets when I felt cold, caring check-ins before and after surgery. The anesthesiologist was so calm and caring when putting in the IV and I was anxious. I And I can only recommend the food - the muffin was very good! I had to stay a few hours longer after surgery as I had no one to pick me up, and they were understanding and made sure I had everything I need. What a gem of a hospital!
