I'm writing this review in addition to the review I left here almost a year ago. My Mom, Betty Klassen passed away in November. She was able to receive Palliative Care at her home, Prince of Peace, after having a stroke. Our family experienced significant emotional and physical support through the last 5 days that we spent at our Mom's bedside.

In those difficult days, we witnessed the deep connection that existed between Mom and her caregivers. They treated her and us with a great deal of respect and care. They anticipated care needs, they showed up during the most difficult days, with such kindness and compassion for us all. Mom died peacefully and gracefully here in her home, surrounded by her children and her Prince of Peace family. The impact that this had upon our family will be with us forever. It was a great gift. Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart.

I love the big windows! There are great views of the mountains and prairies. The walking paths are well maintained which makes it easy to enjoy the duck ponds and green space in the community.

My Mum, who is 97, has lived at Prince of Peace Manor for three years. She has some dementia and she loves living there. She says the food is very good and the staff are professional, kind, helpful and not intrusive. I have found the standard of care to be excellent and staff go the extra mile to ensure that residents are healthy and safe. My Mum and I are happy we found the Prince of Peace Manor.

There is clearly and obviously a build-up of respiratory viral infections ready to invade on many vectors - it is a challenge to keep it all at bay - the staff vigilantly guard against infection from every angle.

my mom is quite appreciative of your efforts, as well as all the accommodations you provide for her.

Do not, and I repeat, do not let your loved ones live here. Years ago this place was good. But over the past few years this place has gone down hill faster than an avalanche. The residents are not the focus any longer. It is only about the almighty dollar! Alot of the staff are only there for a paycheck and to socialize with their friends. Residents are neglected on a daily basis. They are not being checked on properly, being left to sit in their bodily fluids, not being changed into clean clothes. They are also not being fed properly either. Very small portions with no other choices of something they would eat. And the worst part is the so called "management" couldn't care less. They couldn't manage a birthday party for one! Management is also very racist. Favoring certain employees over others. Alot of the staff are constantly calling in sick so the staff that actually show up are over worked and extremely under paid. And that causes the residents to not get the care that they desperately need. And all management can say is there is no money for extra hours or money to hire competent staff. So please take your loved ones somewhere where they will be taken care of properly, and not charged over $4000 a month for next to 0 proper care. I say that Verve needs to get management that can actually manage a care facility. And ones that can put the residents first. Instead of profits for the owners.

On Saturday Jan 2, 2021 at approximately 4 in the afternoon my Mother who has resided at Prince of Peace since July 2020, had her television service go dark. Being an avid football fan, this was not going to do given the NCAA &NFL playoffs were on the horizon. Thinking quickly the Front Desk/Kitchen employee took it upon herself to become an electronics aficionado. She recognized the problem was a broken shaw cable receiver and located a box containing extra cable receivers installing it so the TV was back operating within a very short time. This employees initiative is indicative of what our experience has been with Prince of Peace Manor. We take comfort knowing that our Mom's needs/care are always the primary focus of the staff and they do it with enthusiasm and a smile. Thanks so so much!

Commendable organization and excellent frontline staff have provided kind and compassionate care throughout the past year.

Transitioning into care was stressful for both our mother, who has dementia, and our family. This was compounded by COVID. The staff at all levels from admin, to personal care workers have been kind, patient, and available through many tearful conversations.

Along the way we have received timely communications. I really appreciated that, even when it was unwelcome news of an outbreak...we were informed and the difficulty of the news and it's coming impact was acknowledged.

I love watching Mom share a joke with the staff, their investment in relationship with her is evident and welcome.

The staff are vigilant and observant - anticipating her needs, and responding to concerns and changes that we note as well.

Other things that make it a great home include a varied menu, and nutritious meals and snacks. It is always clean and smelling fresh. There is lots of sunlight...These things combine to create a welcoming atmosphere.
