Recently a governemnt cheque that didnt belong to me was wrongfully deposited into my account. They withdrew the funds. When I confronted them bank manager about it she called me a thief and a liar and told me that the cheque was even deposited with my own bank card. I knew there was some mistake. She told me they could look up the transaction record and pull out the security cam footage from the ATM in which the cheque was deposited into. They failed to do so, stating their ATM wouldnt go back that far in time. I went to my work and got a timesheet form the day of the deposit. It showed that I was working in Ft. Sask 12 hours that day. We satrted at 7. There is no way at 10:07 am I was able to deposit this cheque into a ATM in Stony Plain that day. Thought the banks were supposed to stand behind their customers. This bank does not. They denied that it could have been a computer error or mechanical error in the ATM. That is what I attribute the cause to.

I have been using ATB Financial for a long time. They provide great services for all your banking needs. I would highly recommend others reading this to book an appointment with the staff here like Devon, who helped me to set up financial goals and then find the plans that fit my needs.

My wife and I have been dealing with Chelsea over family matters. She has done a super job of taking care of our affairs. Friendly and very knowledgable. A pleasure to do business with. A great asset to this ATB.

Recently was looking to pay out our mortgage and move it to another lender as they were offering significantly better rates than what ATB was willing to offer. Was quoted an early payout penalty of $3000 with a 30 days time limit. When we requested the official payout statement to be sent to our new lender ATB took until 2 days past the the 30 day deadline to send it, which meant the original agreement was no longer valid. When our new lender went to go pay the mortgage out the "new" payout penalty jumped up to over $13,000!!!! The reason I was given was that lending rates had dropped by over 1% over the course of that month, which simply wasn't true........... After dozens of phone calls and several emails the branch is still refusing to even look into a solution for us. Very poor business practice if you ask me. Don't just sweep an issue under the rug when you don't want to deal with it and hope it goes away. Own up to what you did and come to a compromise with your client to keep everyone happy with your services.

At this point I will be moving all of my banking as soon as my current mortgage is able to be moved without a $13,000 penalty........

After having our mortgage with ATB Stony Plain for more than 10 years and not once asking for a better rate on our usual 5 year fixed we consulted a mortgage broker (not sure why we didn’t do that sooner). The broker was obviously able to find us a far better rate. Of course it is a huge hassle to switch mortgage lenders so we went to our Stony branch and tried to negotiate. We have never missed a payment and both of our credit scores are great but they would not budge even a smidge. The rate was the rate at that was it. It was extremely disappointing to hear especially when ATB advertises how they work for you. Not even a little bit. Another thing is we opened up our kids education plan with them and have asked a few times about the $500 that each child gets when opening an account. We’ve only received it for one child. Anyway, no one has ever gotten back to us and that was easily two years ago. I wouldn’t recommend ATB although I have nothing against the people that work at this branch. After 20 years of them making money off our mortgage payments and loans they couldn’t work with us. Brutal. But I guess someone needs to pay for the false advertising they have going on. We haven’t looked back after switching our mortgage lender. We just renewed and even with the lower rates we got a discount! Wow we’ve only been with this company for 4 years! It’s only a matter of time before I go through the painstaking process of moving bills to my other bank and walk away from ATB for good.

My account was hacked and I was never reimbursed the money that was stollen. Not sure how it is my fault. They also never answer the phone and I work 8-5 so it is hard to go in. Also hold my cheques longer then needed when I need to use my money.
