It is a cemetery that was built at 1854, replacing the Quarantine Station Cemetery after beach erosion had unearthed burials. There are over 300 people buried in this cemetery. There are also some unmarkex graves of early settlers, quarantine and shipwreck victims, and those posted here during the Point Nepean’s military use.

Not really a place to rush to rest but it is the dead centre of Point Nepean’ the grave yard has been cleaned up to make it a tourist attraction but it’s still interesting as it goes back 200 years . A combination of Marked and unmarked graves

We decided to have a look around this Quarantine Station, found my husbands ancestors graves who worked at the station. Very interesting history of our first settlers and what they went through.

It's well maintained in a respectful and historic way. An information panel explaining that many of those buried here were victims of typhus aboard the Ticonderoga in the 19th century. There's a long drop public toilet, maintained tracks through the bushland, parking and a shuttle bus that takes people to the tip of Point Nepean to see the tunnels (bus fares are $8 concession and $12 non concession).

A peaceful area around Point Nepean with some information boards discussing some of the history here. This area dates over 200 years with a combination of mark and unmarked graves. This point of interest is just a short walk from the carpark.
