Kayak hire is available, both double and single are available for families. 25$ for 1 hour for a single, 30$ for 1.5 hours for a single.
You can book in advance through the website.

Stand up paddleboards are also available for hire.

Access from the road is a fair way so be weary when you need to carry heavy watercraft.

Perfect place to swim with a roped off area to prevent waterfront from entering into the swimming area.

Lots of walking tracks around. Also a large dam wall to view from the kayak or the road.

No dogs are allowed sadly due to national park status.
Thirty minute drive from Brisbane city through the gap.

Nice rotunda for weddings also with a lake view.
Weddings also have a wedding room near the main Cafe area.
The main Cafe has coffee and biscuits and also full meals to order such as fish and chips.

Great place for large groups to visit or families. Great on a sunny Brisbane day.

It seems like a great place to bring kids of any age with a wide range of activities. There's various hiking trials which seem very accessible (paved or gravel with minimum steps) and very in length. The reservoir for swimming and paddle craft (which was temporarily closed to swimmers from the recent floods). Paddle craft could be rented as well. There were also bike trials and even a food court and exhibit.

Toilet facilities can be found near the admissions office.

Wonderful place not too far away from the city. Great activities here include hiking, kayaking, stand paddling, swimming, and mountain biking, or just to sit down with picknic basket and enjoy the fresh air and the relaxing views. It is family friendly, and it is easy to get there by car or public transport.

What a hidden gem! This is such a fantastic, affordable place to go for the day! Only about $8 entry for an adult and you get to see so many cute animals!! They are all well looked after too. There's a few activities you can do down by the water too such as swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding for a small fee. A great day out for all ages!

Nice place to visit for family or a single person. so many options for activities: kayaking, swimming, trekking, paddling, picnic. I took a very short trekking path and visited the Wild Discovery area(8aud for entry). I am planning to do paddling next time. Both kayak and paddle hire is 25 aud per person

Hidden bush gem. Great place to have a coffee and my little kids loved the animals. Shame about the terrible weed problem :( there are cool bike tracks down the back but they are completely unusable as they have been taken over by weeds.

A great place! It is safe and fun for the families. However, the way from car park to the water way is 5 mins downhill, requires super strength or wheels to carry the kayak down. Suitable for swimming and standup board. Hope some shade and bbq can be add later, also pave the road down to the water.

Beautiful walk for kids for discovering little animals or for the fitness person trying to smash out 10 km around all dam .
You can swim in dam or hire / bring own paddle boards and kayak s to paddle around dam.
Water is cold and will out your giblets in your throat but still nice and refreshing.
