The Guitar Gym

My son (8) and daughter (6) have been attending lessons at the guitar gym for the last 6 months. They really enjoy each lesson and look forward to them each week. Ben does an excellent job of keeping the lessons exciting and fun. The kids guitar playing has progressed very well and as such they are super keen to keep on improving. I would recommend the guitar gym to anyone who has a child interested in learning the guitar.

I am a bass player, I started going to The Guitar Gym 4 years ago to learn bass guitar, and haven't regretted it since.

The teachers all have years of experience (not just in guitar playing but also teaching), the staff are supportive and able to help you at any pace, and the environment they create is quite enjoyable. Not to mention they are always providing opportunities for students to broaden there general music knowledge and make connections with other similar musicians.

I would recommend The Guitar Gym to anyone wishing to learn guitar.

Having never played an instrument (but always wanting to), I tried a free lesson at The Guitar Gym and loved it. They are super accommodating of time constraints and personal schedules/commitments, and are easy to work with.

After working with Ryan for just a few lessons, I feel confident and excited to keep attending. I can't wait to see how much I learn and how my skills develop.

I have been a student at the guitar gym for seven years now, and right from the start I was astonished by how effective the teaching is and how super friendly the staff are there. Everyone who works there are great people, and they have all been a great influence on me over the years. My experience there has been outstanding, and I would absolutely recommend it to a guitarist of any ability. The concerts that the guitar gym puts on at the end of each year can not be beaten, with the huge amount of effort that the teachers put in to make it a great experience for everyone. It is always great to have the freedom of choosing what you want to learn, and the having the flexibility of lesson times that allows you to reschedule at any time.

Both our children have been going to the Guitar Gym now for over 2 years and are loving it. Our son does guitar with Dan who has made his love for guitar increase to the point that he picks up his guitar and plays most days. He now saves his money to buy the next guitar! Our daughter does singing and although nervous to start is now full of confidence and really enjoying her lessons. We would definitely recommend guitar gym to anyone wanting to improve their music and have fun doing so.

Although I previously took lessons somewhere else, I have made more progress on what I have wanted to do than I could ever ask for. The coaches are very skillful, understanding and adaptable to your preferred style of music. Dan, who is one of the coaches, has a very broad musical understanding, has fun and engaging lessons and is a very good role model for young guitar players. He can teach any style of music, including acoustic and electric songs, and is a very experienced teacher. Highly recommend him as a teacher, and The Guitar Gym for experienced, and unexperienced guitar players

I’ve been attending the Guitar Gym on and off for around 7 years and have seen it grow along with my teacher Daniel. Everyone is lovely and very accomodating as my schedule changes. When I first attended, I had never even picked up a guitar and just wanted to try something new. I have grown to adore this creative outlet and would definitely recommend the Guitar Gym for anyone wanting to learn a new instrument, and to those who are wanting to pick up where they've left off.

The Guitar gym provides fantastic, bespoke lessons that provide just the right mix of playing, technique and theory all underpinned by supporting a love of music. My son's teacher is wonderful at adapting the lesson to suit how my son is feeling on the day to ensure he gets the most out of the lesson and is always supportive and encouraging. The administration team is very prompt and accommodating. Very highly recommended!
