I live interstate and it is great peace of mind to know that the property is in safe hands.
As an example of their proficiency, a few years ago I was required by the bank to get a rental appraisal for a rental property I was purchasing. Going through the purchase process can be a stressful period, and time is of the essence. Laura somehow managed to provide me with a rental appraisal, complete with two comparable properties, in under 5 minutes! It made the process so much easier for me.
I have dealt with a few property managers over the years but Oasis are by far the best I have worked with.
First, you can tell from the tone of OASIS' response, Laura the Director had actually spent way more time and energy in making up a bunch of excuses as to why they didn't do their job professionally than actually problem solve. She's a true professional, at lying that is!
If you want to pay an incompetent property manager with an attitude (aka Jamie) to do the minimal, over promise and under-deliver, plus end up doing everything yourself, then OASIS is the place for you to see your rental income go down the drain!
My apartment was water damaged in September 2021, OASIS property manager did not inform me until October 2021. It took them another month of delays to get 3 quotes for repairs in November 2021. Even in December 2021, I was still waiting on records from OASIS to lodge my claim.
I had to repeatedly chase up for inspection reports, photos and quotes to lodge my insurance claims. Basic record keeping that they struggled to provide. Because OASIS failed to provide these in a timely manner, my claims were delayed for months while I was losing rental income as the water damage escalated. OASIS simply DID NOT CARE in the slightest.
The tradespeople OASIS appointed were unqualified and negligent (See pictures of 2 Large holes that were cut in the walls of my apartment to fix a leak, yet OASIS claimed nothing needs to be fixed?!) I ended up organising tradespeople myself.
Since I changed management, I discovered there were other property damages costing thousands of dollars that Oasis had failed to report.
OASIS almost never pick up their phone. Best to find an agency that can afford to hire a receptionist to pick up your calls and attend to your queries.
My properties are now managed by a much bigger agency and I must say the service level is uncomparable, just a much easier and smoother experience. The advantage in a big agency is that if you are not happy with one property manager, there's always a back up. But in a small agency with one property manager, you are stuck. Trust me, you don't want to be stuck with the likes of Oasis.
The thought of writing a review for a real estate agency would have been utterly foreign to me prior to our most recent rental experience, but Laura went so far above and beyond for us that singing her praises is the least I can do.
Highly recommend Oasis to anybody looking for a property management company
