The working time (9:30-5:30 Mon-Fri, closed Sat-Sun) makes it difficult for full time worker to collect parcel

First time in 3 years after being in Australia I’ve faced an issue with Auspost in particular Mansfield. I had ordered a package for my ‘own brother’ and my bad luck that it had to be in this Auspost which is not my usual one anyway. I received the text message and went into the Auspost to collect. At first, they needed my physical ID which I didn’t realise was in my car. They could not accept the photo id in my phone even though the same person is standing in front off them. Fine, I searched my car and found my id. Guess what now, they asked me if this delivery address was the same as my home address. I said no because I ordered it for my brother and he is at work. Keeping in mind that Auspost closes by 6 pm and then if not today I can only pick it up after Easter, I said it’s my own brother for whom I bought and I can put him on the phone. No! They need a written proof from him. So unnecessary that I got my brother to email them giving me permission to pick it up. I understand if it was for a different person and security reasons they won’t be able to hand over the parcel. But being myself who ordered this and picking up for my own brother which I proved was not enough for them.
In the end, they handed me the parcel after all this unnecessary waste of time. Please try and understand certain situations carefully. Not everyone is here to steal packages if that’s your impression. So dumb of them! I hope I don’t have to pick up from this location again.

Absolutely pathetic! I just visited this post office and the older lady on the front counter was the most unhelpful, rude and sarcastic human being I have ever dealt with at Australia Post. Not only did she have no idea what she was talking about and seemed completely disinterested in my situation, when I said I had been sent on a wild goose chase (due to being a card being left in my mail box and no parcel available for collection) she cynically suggested and actually invited me to bring a complaint (with a smirk on her face). In fact she dared me to do so! To this lady - thanks for the hellish experience! You should definitely not be working in customer service as your people skills are abhorrent and it’s staff like you that give Australia Post a bad name! Perhaps next time before you are rude to a customer you might firstly think how you would like to be treated and I’m sure it would not be like trash! No customer deserves to be spoken down to or treated like garbage and I hope one day you feel the same way and are treated he same way you made me feel!

Last Saturday, I was at home, but the delivery man lied that the item was not delivered because no one was at home, so I came to the post office to pick up the item, but my item was not here.

I ruined my precious time today

Postman didn’t even attempt to deliver package. Left a slip without even knocking and when I went outside to talk to him he drove off.
