Huge thank you to Heath for taking us through the last 6 weeks of "Best Mates". Your knowledge and ability to understand not only our dog but also us as their owner is excellent and should be commended. You gave us tools and tips that enabled us to see results almost instantly. We came away seeing improvements week after week.
Your sense of humour and relaxed approach made the experience really fun and we looked forward to every class. Even in a group setting you managed to individualise the training for each of us based on our dogs needs. This training has been invaluable and we have seen such a change in Harley over such a short period of time. After only 6 weeks we feel confident and in control of our 32kg puppy! We will be coming back over and over and cannot recommend Bonnies highly enough. Thank you so much once again. Gaby and Kristian

We have had one private session with Christian before and he was fantastic. Our dog really responded well to him and the training has been very effective. After a few months of working on things from the first lesson, we are going back and I am so excited to continue training.

i have found val to be very knowledgeable and experienced about all aspects of dogs, training them, raising and living with them harmoniously. she has a gentle, calm approach which i find the dogs and their handlers really respond to. all the bonnie's family and other trainers treat you with respect when working with their client's dogs. many clients have been returning to bonnie's classes for many years, whether advancing with their dog or training a new dog. i am very humbled and grateful to be a new part of the bonnie's team as a trainee trainer and hope to be with their growing family for many years to come.

After being driven to frustration by my almost-perfect year old pup, who started exhibiting new and unexpected behaviours after many months of consistent good behaviour, I booked in for one session with Christian, and I was ready for a long haul investment of months to fix all the challenges. The hour was spent explaining things in a really straightforward way, and everything made sense after that! He provided a number of solutions, didn't up-sell or pressure, and in 24 hours I already see a difference. I've regained some confidence, while my dog seems more settled (if a little annoyed with her new walking harness!)
I could not recommend him enough if you just don't know where to start! This family is the real deal!

I first came to Bonnie’s about 4 years ago with only limited experience in dog training. When arriving they quickly evaluated my dog pulling and attention problems due to the harness I was using and recommended to use a head halti. My dog hated it and it caused him a in CD distress, but it worked, however I was not comfortable using it.

To this point I thought my experience was positive and my dog did learn, but did so reluctantly and not using positive training techniques. I have since learned that this is an aversive technique based on positive punishment

I took a break from visiting Bonnies and over the last two years I have studied dog behaviour and dog training through DELTA and attended training at All Pets Education and Training who delivered positive improvements for my dogs.

A few months back I attended one evening and left distressed and blown away with what I saw. I was in a class with a trainer who borrowed a dog from a fellow class mate and proceeded to show how to stop a dog jumping up at by knowing it in the chest with some force and when the dog was not responding he then dragged the dog by the lead around its neck.

He then went on to describe and demonstrate other aversive techniques. At this point to voice my disgust and concern and left the class and went to talk to Val Bonnie about what just happened.

Her only concern was to keep me quiet so nobody else could hear me expressing my disbelief at what just happened. I returned the following week expecting to see the trainer not delivering classes, but I was wrong. I left and have not returned.

If you love and care for your dog and want it trained in a positive and humane manner I would stay well clear.

The best dog trainers on the planet! Our girl was a handful as a pup, but thanks to Bonnies, we have the calmest, friendliest and most sociable dog anyone could ask for.
Highly recommended!!!

We really enjoyed our 4 weeks of Bonnies Puppy Magic - both the furry and furless family members learned so much and Peter was great with providing heaps of tips and tricks for our specific puppy issues. We saw noticeable improvements each week and will definitely be signing up for more with Best Mates trainings. A big thanks to Bonnies and especially Peter!
