I paid for my transaction and as I was leaving the store the attendant requested me to come back, saying my transaction had failed.
I returned and politely payed (both by the same card) for the transaction again. Once the transaction was completed, I requested a copy of the declined receipt. The "declined" receipt stated approved.
I presented both approved receipts to the attendant and requested that one of the transactions be rightfully refunded. The attended declined and said he can not and would have his manager call me the next day.
The manager did not call, I followed up and received an SMS from the manager the following day.
The manager refused to refund the money after being provided with bank account photo's and the receipt. He said he had escalated with the head office yet no further action was taken.
I then contacted the Head Office which I was told to lodge a dispute with my bank. After being in retail for over ten years, and operating multiple franchises it is appalling to see how a transaction dispute is handled by 7/11.
We use to use the 7/11 almost daily, will no longer. The error of the company has been put back on the customer, it shows that there is no care for the community.
