Lovely little house converted into fish shop. On the smaller side but the staff were super helpful and patient with me. The two young gentleman were top notch and the owners should be proud of how they conducted themselves. They gave me a free bag of water to get my tank going. What hero's

Very helpful and friendly service!! The gentleman that served us was patient with my kids, answering their many questions and helping to find the perfect sized fish and plants for us.

I was so excited to be starting a new fish tank from scratch (fish lovers know what I mean - it's a BIG time and money investment but very rewarding). The Annerley Aquarium experience left me feeling sad and deflated. I had read positive things about this place online and was looking forward to the shopping process. Unfortunately, I was very dissatisfied with the service I received from one of the store's young gentlemen.
I'm not sure if he's 'quiet quitting' or what, but he acted as if serving me was a pain and an inconvenience. If an 'eye roll' took human form, it would be this guy. Needless to say, his attitude really dulled the experience for me. So I haven't gone back even though this shop is conveniently located. Instead I've driven further afield and spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars at other aquarium stores since my initial purchase here.
Look, I'm no princess. I don't expect to be pandered to or sucked up to when shopping, but I don't think it's unreasonable to expect polite, friendly service, and some good expert advice, especially when you're spending a lot of money at a store. I wasn't going to bother reviewing because I understand what it is like to work a job you hate, so I have some sympathy for the guy. It's just such a pity I encountered a server who was in that downbeat head space when I shopped here. It's totally turned me off the place.

We were looking for our first aquarium. William at the store spent an hour with us, patiently answered all of our stupid questions. He is very knowledgeable, provided us with terrific service and was very courteous at the same time. We will definitely come back next time.

Not impressed, came in regarding food I bought which my fish won’t eat and losing half my fish overnight. I explained I’ve done nothing different with my tank and explained I cleaned my tank as normal and the only thing I’ve done is introduce new food which my fish won’t touch and was told it’s because of the rain which has caused this. Unlikely I feel. I feel this particular staff member was not listening to what I was saying and I actually felt quite patronised like I had no idea, this staff member also a couple of weeks ago could only tell me the gravel vacuum I bought was good with no information in the product. I will not be returning here.

Local icon. Have frequented this store many times over the years. Knowledgeable staff, great customer service, and very impressive range of species available. Quality is exceptional.
