I've never had such a poor experience with a doctor...
Despite clearly being in pain, I was given antibiotics and told to 'just have panadol'. For the follow up appointment, she refused to even diagnose my condition. I asked to have a test since I suspected I had glandular fever. But she told me that the treatment is the same so it 'doesn't matter'. It does matter if you have to let both of your jobs and your university know when you will likely feel better! I also asked for a medical certificate so I can get an extension at university, and she simply wrote the days I had felt unwell, plus one extra day. This was despite the fact that I am unlikely to recover soon. This makes getting appropriate accommodations from university very difficult, in an already stressful post-graduate degree. Incredibly disappointed by the way I was treated, and the lack of compassion I received.

Had an appointment for a tooth infection and loss of sensation and movement in one side of my face, it was changed to a phone appointment as I tested positive on a rat test.
The doctor bombarded me with covid facts and hung up, leaving me possibly having a stroke with no answers and can't get another appointment because you can't charge for two appointments in one day.

GP Yvonne HONSTVET is one of the best practitioners I’ve ever seen. I cannot recommend her more highly. She is an excellent communicator, her patient focus from questioning through to diagnosis and treatment/management is also excellent. Ballarat is lucky to have this doctor, I’m grateful having access to this doctor.

The doctors are nice and caring. I usually see Dr Vidhuna and she is great! However I wouldn't bother ringing them for a first available as they won't answer their phone in a hurry. Ye so understand people get busy but expecting people to wait minimum 45 minutes to speak to someone so ridiculous. I've been waiting to speak to a receptionist for a first available for 45 minutes. There's always been more then one person working so why are people waiting so long for phones to be answered???

I was the first patient of the day, waited 40 mins past my appointment time before asking reception for an estimated wait time. Reception then could not find my doctor or contact them at all. I was offered another appointment 20 mins later with another doctor, but unfortunately had to leave due to other commitments. Reception were friendly and did their best but ultimately not a good experience.

We have an absolutely fantastic Doctor here and don't wish to go any where else, but the reception team are another issue. While there are one or two lovely helpful girls, the team members that have been there for some time are rude and totally intolerant of clients needs.
Twice I've been rung to reschedule my appointment with less than half an hour beforehand.
Don't bother trying to ring back if you miss the call as after being on hold for just over an hour it was simply easier to drive there 🤦🏾‍♀️

I recently moved to Ballarat & tried to find a caring doctor & am happy to have found Dr Yvonne Honstvet at Eureka Medical Centre. Dr Yvonne was patient & attentive during my appointment, which put me at ease. Was happy to see they also have pathology services & radiology services in the same building. Premises were also modern & clean & reception staff were friendly.
